Jill Duggar makes a bombshell accusation against her dad, Jim Bob, of Forging her signature on a contract with TLC for the birth of her son and then forced Jill to film the birth, hand over the footage. Jill claims that she was never paid by TLC or her dad for the birth special. The revelation was revealed on a podcast today by Kate Casey.

Poor Jill and Derek - that video of them announcing Isreal's birth; poor Jill looked so vulnerable and violated. As a Mam, I've got one child, and I really didn't know what to expect when it came to giving birth. My best friend (at the time) wanted to be present at my son's birth - and throughout my pregnancy I was pretty laid back to that option - but made it clear "I don't know how I'd feel until the time comes." As the end of my pregnancy drew near, I wanted privacy and only wanted my husband (and dogs) around me - and that's when I knew I only wanted my husband during the birth of my son - the whole process lasting six looooooooong days. In the days after my son; I didn't want to see anyone, I hated having visitors. The whole point is; it was MY choice, I was in control of everything - to have that control ripped away - the violation would have destroyed me (even more than my vag' was 😂).

When my husband and I had our older daughter, we had planned on a freestanding birth center birth, but the midwife that ran it was on vacation the week I went into labor and the on-call midwife wasn’t licensed in that state. So, we had to have our daughter in the local hospital with no homelike amenities whatsoever and a ton of bureaucratic BS that we were trying to avoid, and to make things even crazier, my labor went super-fast so that my husband freaked out and called an ambulance! (I had just completed EMT training at the same rescue squad and the paramedic was one of my preceptors too-so much for professional dignity!). But the main thing I remember was the midwife asking me if her backup OB could be in the room. My response? “Hell no, there are way too many total strangers in here already!” TV cameras and a crew too? I’d have killed somebody!

I also think it is *NOT* at all "normal" to consider your child your property or even that you have the right to "give them away". I was always aware that my job as a mother was to simply nurture & protect them until they were old enough to look after themselves & to prepare them for an independent life. If you truly love your children then let them go... My father was raised in a highly claustrophobic & religious home that kept him bound to them by duty. He eventually escaped at 44 then met my mother & they had me but his mother would never see or speak to him again. I still find that so sad & unnecessary - a total waste. I certainly never wanted that from my own children but have never been possessive with them. Thankfully, we have remained a close & loving family. Jim Bob & others like him miss the very special gift of having love given freely.

With the other kids you see either a look of same ole, same ole with the fathers or, in Josh's case, I noticed a look of pure unhappiness when Anna told his she was pregnant with one of their children. Thank God Jill can trust Derrick and he's been a blessing and such an aid in her journey and a protector when needed. I kinda sound like them lol. But how else do you say it. What if she married a different man? Derrick probably at times has had to be patient and kept his mouth shut and let her figure out things on her own. Not to mention his legal knowledge being a massive plus. Coming to terms with who her father is while still brainwashed in that cult must of been a slow and painful process.
