I forgot to mention that Josh bragged to a friend of the Duggars, who relayed this to me, that they use burner phones for their businesses so people don’t know they are doing business with the Duggars. Josh’s excuse for using burner phones made no sense & it’s more probable the phones were used for other things. Josh always had multiple, multiple phones. homeland Security only searched one. The friend mentioned to me that getting threats like this is not uncommon for the kids or even for friends of the Duggars that know the truth. He said it’s an intimidation tactic that he had experienced first hand. This is a verified source that was an elder of the Duggar’s church..

The problem was that they were asking for donations (off Jill’s fame) and coming back and forth to the US to film, so it looked shady. Honestly, it probably was. Derick quit his job to go down there and they were not clear about what he was even doing there. It seemed like a massive publicity stunt. Obviously there was more to it, and I do feel bad for them overall and glad they’re out, but Derick isn’t a perfect man (as none of us are).

That is one of the most heartbreaking things that JB and TLC did. I did volunteer work in Labor and Delivery and if there is ever a need for privacy it is during a delivery of a baby. It can be a very traumatic experience and the woman is visible to everyone around her. It can also be a very serious medical experience if something goes wrong. I would feel like I was being raped if I had to have a camera recording this against my will. I was at a teaching hospital and a lot of medical students were coming through L&D. The area where a baby comes out of a woman is called "private" for a reason yet all of these people could look at it as the woman gave birth. And, here is JIll raised in a culture of modesty. Just terrible.

That explains why many of his children live nearby, work for him. It also likely contributed to Derrick pursuing law. He may have been genuinely interested, but I'm certain that what was happening behind the scenes gave him lots of motivation. Jim Bob doesn't surprise me, but TLC allowing the adults to sign for all these kids is ghastly. TLC made a fortune as well and I see why they took forever to cancel both shows. It's called greed. With everything going on in this country as it is, I can't imagine congress or any other branch of the government investing the significant amount of money and time challenging Jim and Michelle Duggar. Especially when the Duggar's could easily claim religious persecution under the above mentioned Amendment's and law. A decent constitutional attorney could find a plethora of defense strategies. The Coogan law is a California law, so wouldn't apply in any other state. The adult kids did take JB to court, but were only awarded minimum wage for their work.

Wow I have always followed this family just because I could identify with a lot of the strict Baptist nonsense but only in the past few years did I realize how truly cult like they are. I am so proud of all the things Jill has stood up to and spoken out about, so brave. There is truly a lot of cover up and I look forward to hearing from more kids who get out in the future.

When Derrick come on the show, I didn’t think a lot of him and thought he did everything JB wanted. However since he and Jill stood up for themselves, I changed my mind big time. Now I think he’s a 🌟, he obviously loves Jill very much and the way he has helped her and had her back through all of this is truly outstanding. They are a wonderful loving couple who care about their family. Their children are going too have a much more well rounded upbringing’s, because their parents who let their children go to school and many other things that Jill never had. I think they are both very brave and are wish them nothing but happiness and love. 😘

This is my first time commenting but felt the need too. You read a lot of what “Possibly” could of been texts from Jim Bob to Derek. I saw a VERY LOW BLOW that you didn’t read that makes me sick to my stomach 🤬. It said, “Is it possible that a root of bitterness has grown in your heart and life to defile many? Don’t you know bitterness is the cause of many cancers like your mom had?” Is that what you want to happen to you? That makes me sick and so upset as my mom passed from cancer & to throw that into anyone’s face is a very low blow & disgusting. I have other words for that but I rather not say them. I listened to a sermon by a pastor on cutting off toxic family members and he goes into the story of Jacob and how he was cheated by Laban and how Laban had a murderous toxic spirit and the Bible says that Laban didn't take care of his daughters or grand-children. And Jacob, with God's help, was able to trick Laban back and take all he owned, his wealth, and his daughters and children, and left. This sermon screamed Jim Bob Duggar and what he has done to his kids and wife.

@@Search4Facts TLC absolutely has no liability.. the are no law on the book . Fact is it is LEGAL to establish LLC as a way of settling contracts. Is done in numerous kind of business. Unless Laws are legislated that set rules that protect kids under age in LLCs it's legal. Law like that usually aren't legislated because the state infringing on parental right s is generally considered as the state telling parents how to raise their kids and we are independent people in the USA and we don't want government all in our business. TLC has been taken to court by many reality shows over the same matter in the last 20 year. They always are found not liable after they show they've set up the required LLC

Austin and Joy never really left. joy remained on the show until the end. They are also still connected to Jim Bob. Austin uses JB’s work contacts, they go to church with the Duggars and they are still very much in the fold

Pregnant with my first child, i felt obgyn monthly exams intrusive despite knowing it was a doctor. I've always worn baggie clothes, nothing short or tight. My mom once said to me if you can wear it sitting next to pastor at church, then you can wear. Day of delivery, it was a teaching hospital so i had 2 nurses the obgyn & a dozen interns or p/a's as my son was born. I wanted only my husband, my doctor & nurse & not an army of dr's in the room. Then they never shut the curtain, flung the door wide open as one of the interns/residents sewed me up after tearing a little & my father in law is there in the hallway. I was so embarassed then, but for jill & the girls going through delivery being filmed knowing the world would see, i'd magnify my discomfort & embarasment by 1000% or more for what she & they must've felt given the upbringing they were raised in. I didn't have the history she has though from josh, wouldn't wish that on anyone! I could only imagine the thought processes that she was going through as she held the filmage. The past & now the present combined & wanting to keep/maintain her modesty. Thank god she has a strong husband looking out for her & their family. I perceive relationship like little house on the prairie between charles & caroline ingalls, where there is mutual respect & trust between a couple & kids born from that love. The ingalls had religion, lived by it & didn't cherry pick verses to suit the means of a cult like religion. Religion can be good depending on how its implemented. The way jim bob used religion, i do not agree with. I have a son & a daughter, they are individual but i love them equally. They each have their own personalities, strengths, weakness, hobbies, etc. To see jill & hear her voice, i can hear her pain.

There are some dark details to Jill's early years as a married woman we didn't know. Jill and Derrick were between a rock and hard shell. They were trapped on a show that made millions for JimBob in which they received nothing. They were so broke that they went on food stamps. They couldn't go to work and have regular jobs because the show was too demanding. I wonder if the stress of knowing the birth of their first child was going to be aired for the whole world caused Jill additional problems with delivery. I am glad Jill is telling this story because the rest of the siblings need to hear it. We all know JimBob wants to hide it.

I believe it. I remember a show that came out and I think only lasted 2 shows, the father ran the home like a cult leader. They all lived in one house and chores were assigned to the wives while guys worked outside with the dad. One son inlaw was a dr and had to get the dad's permission to get an apartment in town for the days he worked a long shift or there was bad weather. They had a family meeting about it and people voted on it. The sil wanted out and his wife was too scared to even discuss it. Her brothers acted like thugs keeping people in line. Everyone who worked had to hand over their paycheck to the " family ". The father controlled everything even parenting. The in laws actually had to sign a contract with the family so it kept them from leaving or taking the bio family members. I think the dr left and was going to try to get custody.
