I think whats important is that cody and the bucks have been very good at predicting what their audience wants. They have a good read on what younger wrestling fans are looking for. How much that will cross over with mainstream fans, and how much they'll comprimise to appeal to a wider audience we will have to see

We've seen this b4 with nwa,wcw,ecw,tna,global force it never works out and the guy that's backing the company knows nothing about wrestling and has no idea how to run a promotion wwe is a publicly traded company and has billions of dollars in fact wwe made more money just last year than njpw and roh combined worth so yes it many be a good small independent promotion but it's not gonna hurt wwe at all not trying to knock on them but come on we've seen this be a million times Vince is just to smart and buissnes savvy and aew is geared more toward children and internet smarks wwe has a different group of fans they're loyal and aren't going anywhere

I don’t know what to think of AEW. Jim’s asking all the right questions, though. What is the presentation going to be like? Is AEW going to be a respectable pro wrestling organization that values championships, history and title lineage? I agree about there possibly being too many cooks. I support AEW for the fact it seems like they'll take care of their talent. The life of a wrestler is pretty hard, and they don't make as much money as you'd think. I just hope they'll give their talent a level of creative input - not total like chumps such as Hogan had. The head honchos definitely need final say. Indeed, it goes back to who the big head honcho is. Khan will need to be pretty ruthless, when shit happens.

Everyone has a different perspective, and everyone has different preferences for what they would like to see. Let's just give the guys a chance. I stopped watching wrestling YEARS ago, and I can honestly say, what these guys have managed to get accomplished in NJPW and ROH actually has me watching again. To me, that's a pretty good indicator that they're doing something right.. at least for a person like me. The industry all but died once WCW was gone. It's just good to feel like actual competition is coming again.

Jim’s cohost seems against AEW. Sure Cody isn’t as good of a wrestler as AJ Styles but he’s good at what he does and I seem to remember a certain promotion in Memphis who’s main wrestler wasn’t great technically but was good at what he did and told a story in the ring. @@pizzahighfive2612 I like Conflict, too. Never seen either live, though. I've seen and met Iggy & The Stooges. It was in Memphis about 10 years ago. Also met Sonic Youth for about 10 seconds. Talked to Chris Cornell for a bit at the last Soundgarden show in Memphis, too.
