He just signed people and is afraid to let people go he has nothing for or that aren't performing. Some will see this as a guy being nice, but those that actually run a business know that's bad business. I really hope his dad pulled him out of being head of analytics for both real sports teams.

He’s the head of analytics for the Jags. He’s the General Manager for Fulham. The GM. He heads their youth development program as well. Shahid did not, nor will he remove Tony from either of these positions, no matter how much he fails at them. Shahid also bought AEW for Tony, it’s a toy, a plaything, a hobby. Against an out of touch Vince, Tony had an opportunity to build a successful alternative to the WWE’s stale, formulaic program. I don't know, but I'm not sure how much help the coaches really are when Chris Jericho was blatantly blading on camera. I'd like to think the coaches are behind the improvements of Willie Hobbs, Max Castor, etc. but with all the messes I have my doubts.

Was Thunder training for AEW, on top of training for Rodney Mack and Jazz, running her own company and wrestling in two countries with pandemic restrictions? That might explain some things, but I certainly hope Dustin is one of those wrestlers who translates as a trainer, consider he can still do what he does at his age.

Every AEW Backstage promo is the same, and 99% of them involve someone getting beaten up after 2 words. AEW is the most predictable wrestling show ever made. Their "Rating" style is utter bullshit as unknown jobbers and people with Zero wins get title shots. Yet real talent like Starks and Hobbs only get to break up and feud with each other. Hell one title hasn't even been defended on AEW TV.

@docwhat83702 жыл бұрын
Let's be honest. Tony doesn't run this primarily as a business, but as real life booking his action figure playsets. Anyone with eyes and half an ounce of sense can see they have some great wrestlers and upcoming talent on the show. The thing is they're not amongst Tony's personal favourites and so it's a futile endeavour to hope they'll get anywhere. Tony will only seek to push down anyone he doesn't personally want to see at the top. He wants Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, The Elite/Bullet Club and anything by Jericho at the top of his card. Punk has a free pass because he's Punk. Otherwise everyone else better get used to playing roles in those guys' stories.

Speaking of children, this may sound crazy but I want there to be a 2nd generation Cornette because after he's gone there won't be anything close to his greatness. Can you imagine if there was a Jonathan or Jasmine Cornette that he taught everything to? Folks, he's the last of a dying breed. I hope he's personally passing down all of his knowledge to someone who's actually in the business. Yes all of his videos on KZbin will still be here long after but It'd be great watching a Jr Cornette picking up the tennis racket and carrying on his/her old man's legacy.

Maybe if ROH actually starts running shows again, Cornette should get an advisory role. He played a part in saving that company twice, and they were hovering around, bouncing back from their setbacks for years after he left until Bully Ray started booking and pissed off New Japan. Not saying work with ROH long term or even full time, but just help point the ship in the right direction again. Long term, Delirious can get the book again, assuming he's learned from his mistakes and recovered from his burnout. And even if he hasn't the downfall wasn't really his fault.

I think this is a right move, because now we can see how Tony Khan will do with less responsabilities. But again, he should find a Mentor for the booking or a Booker, and understand that if he isn't on creative, this doesn't mean that you can't be involved on the show, because this is his major fear.
@anthonyrousseau80502 жыл бұрын
If the rumors about his backstage temperament are anything to go by, then Tony Khan having less responsibilities won't solve the issue.

@@anthonyrousseau8050 i don't know if this is true, so i preffer wait and don't do acusations for now, even not thinking that a guy who hug his talents could be such a asshole...maybe he did this sometimes because every person have a bad day sometimes. As a guy studying psychology, i realized he have some issues with hyperactivity and anxiety and normally people in this situation don't listen to any advice, not because they didn't care, but because of his fear of doing something who is completely out of his control and if we put the hyperactivity on this, we got a real amplification of this problem. Maybe that have something to do with the recent situations that happened on WWE and the positive feedback from the wrestling fans for the changes promoted by Triple H....
