In Jake's defence, I met him once at Supernova in Sydney, Australia and he was an absolute gentleman. We took photos and he convinced me and a friend to buy some merchandise (a 10 buck tshirt). I went outside the centre for a smoke later and witnessed Jake helping disabled fans into their vehicle and being such a lovely person. Warmed the heart.

When I was 11 years old, Jake Roberts took part in an independent wrestling event at the high school gym in my middle-of-nowhere town (reflecting the state of his career at the time). During the intermission, I had a Polaroid photo taken with him. I don't remember what this cost, but it was enough that I had to BEG my father to pay it. The fans were promised that Roberts would autograph the pictures at the end of the night. After much waiting, a member of the staff checked the locker room and informed us that he was gone. I'll never forget the disappointment. (Of course, given what I know now, I suppose I should consider myself fortunate that Roberts even showed up in the first place.) I'm stunned that he has the audacity to criticize another wrestler for no-showing an autograph signing. Does he think that his sobriety negates his behavior during the days of his substance abuse? I'm sure you don't remember that night thirty years ago, Jake. Hell, you probably didn't remember it the next day. But I do, and so do the other fans you let down on countless occasions.

It's like CM Punk saying stand with your fellow wrestlers in the locker room. Whether you like them or not . Oh wait. He actually did say that . Even Miro found that comment funny.

I'd say warrior was pretty close when it came to no shows. But I think it's a work and Jake is playing it perfectly. Jake knows he was one of the kings of the no show so I think it's just a work by AEW

Jake's talking different because he's thinking different. I think he realized the way he acted wasn't right. Your mindset changes through recovery. It's a sign of maturity.

🤦🏻‍♂️ A lack of self-awareness isn’t a sign of maturity. Neither is being a hypocrite. If he’s really in recovery, good for him. But considering his past, he has ZERO credibility trying to tell those in the business today how to handle themselves. Honestly, he should recite the Serenity prayer, thank his lucky stars he’s still alive and then just STFU.

@@user-uo1qr6vn1q Jake has the exact roadmap of which roads not to take. That is valuable information for the young performers. Jake is also one of the best wrestlers ever. Jake can teach ring psychology and promos better than anyone. Imo
