I agree with Brian. I have little sympathy for people who drive when they know they have had way too much to drink. Drunk driving is the equalvalent of firing a loaded gun in public with your eyes closed. You might kill somebody, you might not. But the chance is there. I mean, call a Lyft or Uber. You have options if you're fucked up. There's just no excuse.

TK treats running a promotion like its the GM mode of a ps2 era smackdown vs raw game. The human factor just isnt there. That's why he lost Rhodes, who is now the biggest babyface of WWE. Only an idiot would blame TK for this. Tony Khan isn’t forcing Jeff Hardy to do ANYTHING. We’ve all seen where TK let’s the wrestlers basically control creative and do whatever they think sounds cool. If Jeff would’ve told Khan that he needs a break & help, Khan would’ve gave it to him. The real problem here is Jeff Hardy refuses to accept that he has a problem and chooses to constantly pretend like he’s OK. That’s what made him decide to drive drunk and risk everyone’s lives. And that’s what made him agree to wrestle Darby Allin and take years off his own life. You can’t help someone if they don’t want help. Jeff needs to admit that he needs help.

So I was at the showdown event. It was held at the Dave and Busters in Orlando in one of the showrooms. It started at 6 and went on until 10. The event definitely went past 10 simply due to the fact that I was waiting in line from 6 to 930 to get my autograph. The acoustic performance that was advertised by the event was scheduled to take place at 930 at the Dave and busters, but based on the long line that probably didn’t start until about 11. When I had walked up to the Hardy’s, Matt was very personable and chatty, but Jeff seemed down and reserved. He kept reaching for a drink every minute or two through the signing. I know he’s more of the introvert but he seemed off. As a fan of wrestling I hope he does get the help he needs or retires, maybe even both.

I kinda feel for Matt. Sure, they've both had singles success, but they've made their name as a tag team, and Jeff's nonsense affects Matt. In Eddie Guerrero's book, he talks about having trouble understanding why he couldn't just have a few drinks like most people, after yet another failed rehab stint. He came to the realization that he just couldn't, plain and simple. Some people can handle one or two drinks, but most addicts just can't.

100%. Addictions run rampant in our country from gambling to food to sugar to sex to caffeine to internet to alcohol to drugs, etc etc.. some addicts are extreme and can't just have a little and be satisfied. Rental car companies will typically do the following with a license: - Check that the name matches - Check that its not expired by date. - Check the number in the system to see if its on the corporate "do not rent" list. Most of the time there is no way for a company to know if a license has been revoked. Its a real problem, but none of the anti-drunk driving groups seem to care about it.

Jeff has addiction problems, and it's not surprising that he relapsed. He will likely rehab and relapse several more times before he manages a longer term stint of sobriety. It's part of the natural course of the medical condition. What's unusual about Jeff's situation is that his occupation and addiction are really heavily interwoven. He can "get help" but ultimately he's going to go back out on the road, see all the same people, get exposed to the same situations he's used in before, chase the same dream and have the same pain & problems. Staying clean in that situation must be extremely hard. His lifestyle outside of wrestling, with his music thing and art, also probably expose him to a fair whack of opportunities to relapse. I'd really like to hear that he's quit wrestling for good, and never see him in the ring again. That he's learnt to sell real estate or set up an animal shelter or something completely removed from the wrestling business. Learn to live a more mundane lifestyle. Change the unsustainable blaze into a controlled flame, and it might not burn out as quickly. Having said that, there is no excuse for him to be behind the wheel of a car. With the best will in the world, what he does with his own meat is his business, and if it damages him then so be it - he's a grown adult and he will know his bad decisions will have consequences. But don't put other people at risk of dying because of those bad decisions...

Jeff only proved WWE was validated in their decision. They were trying to help him before releasing him. Matt is also at fault before he wanted to team up with his brother again no matter what, but he covered up and lied to make Jeff look okay. AEW and Tiny Khan are also very much to blame. He wanted the Hardy Boys of old no matter what, to pop his ratings that he put them through hell, with no concern for their mental or physical health. The fact the Hardys were doing a Ladder or Table spot in every match in AEW was a very careless decision. Add to the fact that more and more reports that are that Jeff was drinking and looked awkward every show should have been a sign someone needs to do something, including being drunk during Mania weekend. But this show how much the man-child really cares about his talent. Yes Jeff is an adult, but someone should have been assigned to make sure he doesn't drink too much if at all, and someone to make he is not driving at any cost. The Khaman has more than enough money for that. After seeing that table match last night we can only be thankful Jeff wasn't in it, or we could be having a completely different discussion. Jeff needs help and he's not going to get it from his family or AEW. He needs someone like DDP to help him fight his demons, everyone else is just another negative in ALL ENABLERS WRESTLING. I hope more people really reconsider going to AEW if you have any bad habits as Jeff does, also makes you wonder how "clean" Moxley really is.

"It's really not that difficult to overcome these seemingly ghastly problems. What's hard is to decide to do it." -Robert Downey Jr. That quote quite succinctly covers why it's damn near impossible to sympathise with Jeff Hardy. His substance abuse issues have been ongoing for over 2 decades and, sure, we don't know exactly what's in his mind or how difficult it is for him but that quote shows how it's basically irrelevant. As Downey Jr highlighted from his own experience- actually kicking it and staying sober is the easy part and the hard part is wanting to get off them. Jeff apparently doesn't.

On a somewhat related subject. Whatever anyone thinks of Shawn and Hunter that is a great friendship. The stories of Hunter taking care a Shawn in his addiction days, things like making sure he got where he needed to be putting him to bed on his side so he didn’t vomit in his sleep checking on him every couple of hours is a beautiful thing and a great friendship. If it wasn’t for Hunter who knows what happens to Shawn and then Shawn being able to turn his life around is a great story. There’s too many of the opposite stories particularly in the wrestling world. It’s also mind boggling to me how driving drunk or under the influence of something if so common and that fact that most people who do it are repeat offenders. We need so much stronger penalties for this. I don’t exactly know the answer but something needs to change. DWI’s or DUI’s are unacceptable no excuses for it. “It is what it is” until you kill yourself or somebody else.

Hunter gets ripped for a lot of things sometimes fairly but that guy kept a lot of his friends alive. I know he has paid for rehab for Waltman back when the company wasn't offering it. What he did for those guys was love them. Jeff appears to have very few people in his life right now who love him given what he's been doing in these free tv matches and otherwise. :(

One of the officers at the end of the video says that Jeff was reaching into his backpack out of the cops’ line of sight. It makes sense because during the beginning of the video the cops ask for Jeff’s driver’s license and Jeff says it’s in his backpack which is in the car. So Jeff was originally just trying to get his license out for the cops, but he moved too slowly and started reaching into a backpack as the cops were standing next to his vehicle. The cops at that point have no choice but to draw their firearms. They have no idea if someone’s gonna pull a gun on them.

He probably don’t care. People are fake and not worth the trouble most of the time anyways. I rather him start living his life now instead of favoring other peoples opinions. He’s earned that. He’s been famous since he was a teenager. He’s still living like a rockstar. If he doesn’t wanna be a great father that’s on him. He gave me great memories and that won’t change that. I don’t want kids for a reason. He’s trying to buy into the bs that this new not living for myself life is for the best when in reality people have just gotten used to it and want it to be the norm since it’s almost necessary to be looked upon like that figure. I think this explains a lot about how Jeff was used and treated toward the end in WWE. People talk and I have no doubt that management knew. The push toward rehab and the drug test were opportunities to help him help himself. They also know how unreliable he'd been when dealing with addiction. No one with those concerns would have trusted him with a significant program.

"(AEW) didn't do anything to be put in this position other than hire him (Jeff Hardy)", one could argue that, at this point, if you run a wrestling promotion and hire Jeff Hardy, you should know exactly what you are getting and that substance abuse is a risk. It is sad, and I hope that he is able to overcome the addiction someday, but I don't think wrestling is the right business for him to be in to do so.
