First off, Crockett had no business running the Bunkhouse Stampede in WWFs backyard. Second, You don't have a match end in a time limit draw on a pay per view, especially on a pay per view that only lasted two hours. Whoever heard of a pay per view only running 2 hours! Third. I guess they aired it at 5pm because of McMahon having the Royal Rumble run that night for free on USA Network.

I agree with you both JCP had no business doing a show in WWF's home turf and on the time limit draw on a PPV, but we also have to take note that this was in the early days of PPVs where if a show was scheduled for two hours, it can't go over that time or the feed would cut out (a lesson WCW learned the hard way years later)

Guess Corny never sat in bumper to bumper traffic trying to leave the parking lot at the Meadowlands after a show, only to sit in more bumper to bumper traffic on Route 3 once you actually exited the complex. What a cluster fuck the traffic system in and around that place is, lol.

By November 1987 when NWA debuted at Nassau, the WWF had kind of burned that venue out with weak monthly shows. Sadly Nasau didn't take a chance on NWA just one year earlier when they had U68 and was overall much hotter. The reason WWF ran some many good shows at Nassau in 1986(Wrestlemania, exclusive Hogan vs Orndorff) was to keep the NWA out. But in the stress of running big monthly shows at MSG, Meadowlands, and Nassau was too much and attendance dropped and NWA finally got a shot.

Nassau Coliseum- WWF presents Double Trouble. I was there!! Michales/Latherio V.S Vader/Cornette. Great card full of great matches the whole way thru. To my back right was Foley's entire family with 'Foley Is God' signs (Where that saying originated from) and directly in back of me was Rena Mero (Sable) who looked nothing like the Sable that was introduced a few months later. 😂😂😂 I SWEAR!! She had to have had a complete head transplant with-in a few months. She knew everyones name in the back. She knew that WWF was trying to put tag teams together. Hence- The point of this event. It was crazy!.

The only time I have ever been to the Nassau Colliseum was to see a Jim Crockett Promotions show. It wasn't this one, it was the War Games show they did a few months prior to this. My father didn't like to drive to Long Island to see wrestling shows, but I really begged hard and he took me. All of this may be true about the crowd being bad and how it was bad for business, but I was a really big fan of Jim Crockett Promotions and was glad that I at least got to see one show live. The Meadowlands, on the other hand, was an arena I had been to many times, mostly to see WWF shows. But the last show that my father took me to was a WCW show there, and I'm glad I was able to see one WCW show.
