@@ithinkaboutthings9052 I think it's more for the viewer in the arena than it is for the viewer at home. Think about it like this. Would it be as easy to tell for an audience member in a mostly sold out arena to tell who's making the save if they don't at least get entrance music as they run down? The viewer at home thanks to how camera feeds works has a clear view of who's running down the isle instantly. So we don't need the visual/audio cue that someone's coming out. But for those fans in the building I could see it

@quoththeravenlouisbright-raven
@quoththeravenlouisbright-raven 2 жыл бұрын
Bryan and Jim: You are correct, Jim - Diamante was in fact with LAX over on Impact back around 2016-2017 thereabouts. She messed up her knee and had to have ACL surgery, and the company let her go. Bryan was correct about her coming into AEW as Ivelisse's tag partner back in 2019 and then they more or less both disappeared during the COVID era. Now, here's the smart mark in me talking: Diamante and Kiera Hogan are the current WOW World Tag Team Champions and last I knew are in fact a couple (since 2019). So in MY mind, what logically should have happened in that match, was Kiera Hogan turning on Jade and Diamante defeating Jade for the TBS Women's Championship. The story writes itself: Kiera is sick and tired of being Jade's second and protecting the spoiled ex-WNBA celebrity brat, especially when AEW Management has been protecting her (and they have - note that Jade Cargill has not yet competed against Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb, Abaddon, Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose, or Kris Statlander in singles competition. Statlander is injured so we can forgive this. But the rest of that lineup is arguably AEW's A-List level of their women's division). And who better to help defeat Jade than her fellow World Tag Team partner and lover? "Oh, don't worry, Honey! I got my OWN Baddie who will be there and will have my back..." Talk about foreshadowing! And unless you remember that Dia and Kiera are the WOW tag champions as Adrenaline and Fire - and why would you since WOW has been off the air for quite some time? - or you remember that they're a couple, it's a perfect swerve nobody will have seen coming, but once explained to the audience in the after match interview would make perfect story logic. I was SO disappointed that AEW missed this opportunity. They could have booked Jade for the rest of the year against the rest of the women she hasn't faced as the obstacles she has to overcome before getting her rematch for the belt. They could have had Diamante, a 15 year veteran and 7 time singles and tag team world champion in 3 different promotions as their TBS Women's champion defending against other women that would have looked more competitive in physical size and style thus the match quality would have been potentially raised significantly and helped make the TBS Women's Belt actually mean something, while still keeping Jade relevant with her storyline and developing her as a performer. Right now, nobody cares about the TBS Women's Belt, because Jade just gets to be the black female Goldberg (who cares?), and the storyline that matters in the women's division is Toni Storm as interim AEW Women's champ over on Dynamite, instead. But, that's what you get with Tony Khan booking, I guess.

Jim Cornette is hilarious with his reviews of AEW. The promotion caters to its fanbase they aren't trying to get new viewers or expand their audience. Tony Khan thinks he's a good Booker and he is for the audience he caters too so nothing will change

I don’t think they advertised any Rampage matches on Dynamite this week, so I am guessing the ratings were still small for the Grand Slam Rampage and it is going to fade into the background again.

It a Twice as long episode of Rampage and it's still twice the embarrassment. Even adding an extra hour barely mattered in the ratings as well. This show had Vince Russo's stink all over it.

This show has gone downhill so much without CM Punk. Yet a lot of people are blaming him for the drama backstage. Sheesh. Nobody cares about Diamante or Jane Cargill. Jane thinks people care about her in her manly mind. But that's it.

Just like Jim Cornette asked the Ring Of Honor fans what they thought of his time there now, I have to ask Jim, telling guys to have a match without a clothesline really can't be all that irritating after seeing both WWE and AEW overuse the same finish.

AEW has made it clear that they're betting the entire company on The Bucks, Adam Page, and Omega. I enjoy AEW when the camera crew isn't missing 40% of the spots per match and completely cutting out or cutting away from the storyline moments or cutting away during spots to show what it looks like to have nosebleed seats, but it's obvious they are directionless and are going to be the waiting/furlough with a paycheck waiting room for WWE. It's becoming such a mess now. FTR is getting buried, I love The Acclaimed, but the camera team is missing every spot and it looks like those guys actually might be interested in telling a story over being 40 spots per minute wrestlers (maybe Kip is working well on them). They have Sting and he's getting buried. The women's division has tons of talent and is a disaster partly because some of the people in it have zero direction. Then they're closing shows with opening matches. The Garcia thing is cringe, Yuta has strengths and is very likeable, but they aren't pushing his strengths. MJF is a stop-gap measure to prevent the CM Punk bleed, but they will bury him as well. The introducing Japanese wrestlers or unknown wrestlers from somewhere and the exchanging of chops and such is just awful, then it seems to be that there's always a camera zoomed right in on Moxley blading himself. I like Moxley, but the booking is one-dimensional. With Eddie Kingston, a few months ago, he had the Stone Cold effect where no matter how much of a heel he was, no one could hate him. He was the second coming of Stone Cold and then AEW turned him into a brain-scrambled buffoon that's whining all the time about something. Claudio is already lost in the shuffle. Then every match seems to have a belt involved. It's 2022- we have more beefs available to write in. I don't know, someone getting shittalked on Twitter or on Twitch or something, I don't know. Wardlow and Samoa Joe is beyond lackluster because in every match Joe spends 95% of it getting his ass beat and now showing his skills. It looks like Tony is rebuilding the Cliq with new players and he wants to be part of it so bad that he's betting his company on it. Now that McMahon is gone, I also care significantly less and I will likely be gone in some weeks because it's clear Tony Khan is fucking with viewers by leaving a slight glimmer of hope that Punk might return.

Back around 2014-2015when Sammy Guevara was on the indies in Texas he was pretty much one of the best heels in the state. Unfortunately he made an off handed comment about a wrestler that passed away who had worked for a promotion Sammy had beef with and he essentially got black balled for a lil over a year. Weirdly enough when he returned he came back as a face. Always liked him better as a heel.
