17:56 yeah Mercedes has not wrestled on Dynamite since she main evented Back in May when she beat Deonna to become the Undisputed ROH Women's Champion. Her only appearance on Dynamite since was making the save throwing off Serena Deeb when Deeb had the serenity lock too long on Anna Jay. That's it. Plus she's had a few tag matches on Rampage with Deeb prior to that. Other than that, she's been on KZbin & the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV. Also Age isn't the factor for Mercedes, it's more the injuries over the years like her Knee, Multiple Shoulder Surgeries, Multiple Concussions. She's trying to "Work Smart Work Safe", but a lot of the other talents just don't want to listen.

Didn't they turn her face after about 2 weeks and then turn her heel again soon after, and then she kinda did a shadow babyface turn when she won the ROH title? Another example of Khan signing somebody without thinking about what he can do with them

@@nbaldwin45 no she was a heel to start, turned face after the No-DQ match with Rosa & has been a face since, she had the Tag match with Rosa against Britt & Hayter, then the match with Hayter on Rampage then disappeared until Supercard of honor when she became the interim champ because Deonna was already booked elsewhere that night. Defeated Deonna on Dynamite & was on Dark or elevation for weeks on end afterwards either defending the title or starting the program with Deeb when they were the "Can they co-exist" tag team that had a few matches on Rampage culimating with Deeb attacking Mercedes to set up the DBD match. And TK always speaks highly about her but still does very little. Unless there's a certain power that be that's restricting Mercedes from TV. There's no reason for her Not to be booked on tv

I'd keep Thunder Rosa. She can and does hold up her own end every time. She and Britt don't like each other, but they can work together. A couple of blink-and-you-miss-them ladies complained that she no-sold them, but I saw those matches and what she did was not oversell really weak worked punches. I'd keep Shida, too, but the rest of the Japanese ladies would go and I'd be on the lookout for the next jumping bomb angels to take their places.

I was lucky enough to see Mr Strummer and the Mescaleros a few times - had the opportunity to see what would be one of his last-ever gigs at a fundraiser for the fire service and I turned it down, and I've been kicking myself ever since. Very entertaining listen. I was surprised at the end when Jim took a 2nd look at Hikaru Shida's name and was like "maybe she can be taught" I agree with Jim on that stupid chair jumping spot outside of the ring being a dumb spot in her matches and that needs to go but compared to Riho, the Freddy Mercury woman, the pop singer chick...she stands out as someone that you could do something with if you changed a few things. Some AEW wrestlers should only appear on Dynamite, Rampage, Dark or Dark Elevation. Or if they're on the same show, they should rarely cross paths. Jamie Hayter should've been separated from Britt Baker a long time ago. (On a side note, I notice Jamie never does Britt Baker's "D-M-D" sign) If Jamie beats Toni Storm for the title, Britt will still be in the picture somehow, someway. I like Britt, but Hayter doesn't look like she would need help. Hayter has what it takes to be dominant for awhile and depending on what happens with Jade Cargill, they could have a champ vs champ match. I mean, Cargill has already wrestled Marina Shaffir twice.

I agree. Abadon is taking it as seriously as anyone could. Losing fat, putting on muscle, and training hard with Dustin. The fundamentals are tighter and the work is cleaner; a lot less mud show. If Corny was aware I'm sure he'd reconsider just writing them off.

If I were Tony I'd make every effort to keep Thunder Rosa, backstage drama be damned. Kind of odd Jim would sack her given she is a talented veteran with a fan base. She'd also be an excellent trainer. Toni Storm should be the top face of the division. She was the one that WWE (Vince's awful booking) let get away. Cargill is their Goldberg. Too much, too soon and belt made just for her, but she should be the top heel. Hot take: Britt Baker is overrated and gets her spot from Tony being infatuated with her.

I personally don't agree with most opinions of her, looks and wrestling wise, I think she looks like she's cosplaying Ashley Massaro and I think she's sloppy in the ring. And Toni proved in WWE that she's one bad booking away from abandoning the ship. When she left WWE, she was feuding with Charlotte for the Smackdown title. Britt Baker is maybe the 9th best woman in the ring, yet nothing can happen with any woman on dynamite without it being about her too. Some of the worst booking has been the cramming down everyone's throats of Britt, and to a slightly lesser extent Jade. Both are botch machines and have no clue what they're doing in ring and are average on the mic at best. Kenny should be fired if he has anything to do with this.

The Impact female roster over all kills it though and AEW should look at some of their ladies if their contracts come up.
