I was less than a 8th of a mile from it but luckily was missed by the tornado but my family down the road was hit hard. Crazy to feel the force from the wind and pressure. We were very lucky. Had to go a few days without power but it could have been way worse.

I live about 45 minutes from the Mid Hudson CC and grew up about an hour away in the other direction. Jim is spot-on about the condition of the facilities as well as the insanity of a 2,000-seat arena filled up. I was lucky enough to see some WWF events there as a kid and they are super memories. I remember lots of Bret Hart glasses and the 1-2-3 Kid and even... SABLE. Love listening to you guys; hoping for a speedy recovery down in KY for all. Cheers from NY. Thanks for doing what you do.

I live in Mt Washington, and the scariest thing to me was trying to find a way to protect my 3 year old. We don’t have a basement, so we were in the center of the house, which happens to be the bathroom. My wife and son are in the bathtub and my wife has him in her shirt just in case things starting flying around. I was staying by the door running back and forth to the TV for updates

I live in central Indiana, which has basically the same weather as Kentucky. About 15 years ago a tornado was coming up the street towards me, I was hiding out in the basement for a few hours. After it all passed, I went outside and was shocked to see my yard and street totally unharmed, nothing out of place excepts some twigs and leaves in my yard. On the other side of my street was total devastation, everything flattened. A nursing home a minute down the next street had the roof ripped off, old people defenseless in their beds (the images of which made the local news). You looked one direction, everything looked normal. You turned around in the exact same spot, it looked like Armageddon. Yes, tornadoes do really weird things. I could have literally sat on my front porch and watched the twister wreck the neighborhood, & would have been totally unharmed. I hate these things...but also am fascinated by them. 🌪 🌪 🌪

I live in Paducah and I can tell you that Mayfield is gone! It's fucked. They were finding debris from Arkansas in Mayfield, over 150 miles away. The storm was an F4 with winds over 190 mph.

I liked the Euegene gimmick...as long as there are crazy/violent/malicious gimmicks in wrestling, there will always also be a place for their opposite number, the sweet-natured/goofy/simpleton gimmicks...if they hadn't immediately stuck him in the middle of what would have been a seemingly perfect(in theory) HHH vs Benoit program and ruined it for all three the Eugene gimmick could have had some legs as a mid-card comic relief/kid friendly character...

The tree won't always be 18 feet. In theory, it should sort of branch out and become a bushy looking cedar, that grows again. (It will be bushy because the branches that will grow upwards are the ones that were previously growing outward.)

The tornado that wrecked Mayfield started out 2 miles south of me in Jonesboro Arkansas. I believe it was the longest tracked tornado in history and I believe ended up being a F5.

Jim is right the weather in Ky, is insane right now! I have rode my bike half the days in the last week! The other half was frost on the ground it was so cold don’t make no since! And the problem is when a big cold front blows in and mixes with the hot air and boom we get these F4-F5 tornados 🌪! I got lucky the trail of destruction led up to about 80 miles from my house and just stopped like it always does. Eastern Ky is hilly and it protects us better then western Ky! I have a room in my basement that’s under ground and under a foot of concrete we could survive almost anything in that room! I’m glad I got it! Just the way my house was built back in the 50’s!

jim said 155 miles the tornado stayed on ground, i saw on youtube it was 226 miles, i live in tennesse , ya knew too hot and windy for december that a tornado gonna touch down somewhere, its so terrible people lost their lives, one guy lost his aunt and mom, they were together by a tree, lot of them at candlefactory which lives could be saved there, let them go home, but owner said if ya leave youre fired, so sad, which really if some left that wouldnt matter, no factory now.
