Actions speak louder than words. Does everything require an apology, when the man has a realization on camera that he was wrong. Then fixes it...
@00Caleb002 жыл бұрын
@@alwynjohn4140 I feel like this situation does require an apology bc, like i said before, how long can Jim keep up this act? If a one minute discussion was all it took for him to make a full turn around I’m sure he would’ve changed far before now. Pam said that he’s a slob when he’s home & I’m pretty sure within the couple of years they’ve been together, she’s at least let him know how messy he is. A verbal apology would’ve let Darryl know that he’s really sorry about what he did & he won’t be repeating his actions. Picking up your trash one time after you’ve had a discussion in front of a camera crew that captures everything, just makes it seem like you simply don’t want to be looked at as the bad guy.
@becp4882 жыл бұрын
From a tv making perspective, an apology scene might have been less entertaining than the way they did it or might have been cut for time. The office editors often had a lot of good material they couldn’t fit in. From a character point of view, Jim isn’t great at admitting when he is wrong so maybe he chose actions over words and Darryl is a pretty stoic character who may have been happy with that over an awkward verbal apology.

It is. I love their little fist bump in early Season 4. It is cool that they stayed friends despite the whole Roy thing.

I'm the oldest of four boys, age range is 26-18. Due to Covid we've all been living at our parents house for different months the past year. This is a pretty accurate depiction of our interactions when we're feeling passive aggressive

My brother knows exactly how Darryl feels lol. It's not the label part, it's more so the messy and clean part that he has to deal with.

I'm on Darryl's side on this. I had roommates all throughout college who would steal cash that my parents would send me. They'd use my nail clippers, my headphones, anything, and there need to be boundaries. I don't blame Darryl at all.

Jim gets passive-agressive by pouring the drink away... Darryl figures "Well since we're on the topic, might as well let it all out". LOL

Once you find a way to be friends as well as roommates, life is great! I roomed with my boy for 5 years. We had our lil spats here and there but all in all, it was the most fun time of my life!

0:37 EXACTLY. I work at a Theater. When we disassemble the Popcorn Machine to clean it, we're supposed to let the parts "soak." It doesn't do anything. I come back after letting them sit in hot soapy water for maybe 30-40 min, and they don't look any better. I just scrub them with a sponge, soap, and hot water when the boss isn't around. It's so pointless to just let them sit there.

It’s interesting how everyone focuses on one character being petty over the other, when actually, they both have their own issues in being room-mates together and need to work out a better system of communication in order to work well (as is seen/demonstrated over the course of the video)
