Delaney, you really captured your father’s love of life and music- thank you - these intimate acoustic moments make is all feel like we are right there in the room with you; I’m 65, saw your dad from a boat at the Miami Marina way back in 1985 when I was 27 years old - I’m praying for you all tonight I know how hard it is to lose your dad- mine was 78 when he died yet his memories to this day 16 years later stay always with me in my heart 😞🙏❤️

Thank you, Delaney. Such a gift are these intimate videos of your dad. Jimmy taught me to trust my intuition with Cowboy in the Jungle way back when. His music is now the musical theme of my life, having grown up and grown old with his tunes in the background. ❤ Again, thank you. ❤

Talking with lifelong friends, me in Poland and them in Texas. Mourning this genius, we recalled our fav Jimmy Buffett songs - they'd never heard of Love in the Library. This is my absolute favorite of all his vast catalogue. You've sailed on but we're still here, and still enraptured.

I just discovered this song yesterday when I started playing the album, Songs You Don't Know by Heart. There are some definite gems on this album and this one is my favorite. Good job Delaney, getting this story out of your dad and this special recording. Your father made so many people happy. So sorry for your loss.

Thank you soooo much for sharing your Dad. I love to hear all the music, stories, your voice, your Dad's voice. Even the birds singing in the background is music to my ears. All this makes me cry so I can't imagine all feelings and thoughts that are in your mind. Now & always. My 31yo husband died in 1984 with melanoma. I'm remarried, 2 grown chilren and I still miss him and think of him everyday! We sailed and sang lots of your Dad's music. A group of friends playing guitars, singing, sailing or whatever. Life was so good. Thank you for sharing so much of your Dad. I believe that he and JJW and John Prine and many others that have gone b4 r whoopin it up in Heaven!

I too met my wife working in the library. *We had a parrot head wedding, tropical shirts no ties allowed.* This was the song that we chose to walk in on. Our wedding cake was shaped like a volcanic Island, had mini cheeseburgers and jerk chicken along with margaritas served by an Aussie bartender dressed in boots and shorts.

I know how much we all love our fathers, and I i know how hard it is when we lose our own dad. I thank you for sharing this with us all. I cant imagine what it must be like to have a dad that you know is someone who sparks endless fond memeories for them by hearing his music. We all know what it's like to hear a song from years, decades ago, and be fransported immediately in time and space. To know that your father has done and will ALWAYS continue to do that every time his voice is heard, must be an astounding thing. Im so sorry for your loss. This is a void that can never be filled again. Yet, I hope that the memories of your father that exist within you and the rest of the world will keep his spitit alive for you and your family for the rest of your lives.

This is one of the songs that made this album such a classic treasure. And at the moment I forget which album this was on. Fruitcakes? Barometer Soup? It doesn’t matter. Thanks Jimmy for putting mischief, fun, humor, and flippancy into popular music. And this song had almost none of that.

I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. I was homesick for Mobile. That particular library is still one of my favorites, though the revolving doors have been replaced and the floors have carpet now. This song, and Little Ms. Magic are two of my all time favorites. Through all the shows I saw, mostly in Charlotte, I always wondered why such an amazing song didn't make it into the lineup. The one time I saw Jimmy in close quarters I was embarrassed to actually speak to him. I had just got off work covered in mill grease and stopped to get gas. I saw a red Mercedes Convertible, which was way out of place in Grove Hill, Alabama. I nodded at the owner, he nodded back and we both went on our way. That is the only instant in my life I would change if given the chance. Fair well Mr. Buffett.

I've been to 4 Jimmy Buffett concerts, and that's my only criticism is that it's a lot of the same songs, and I love so many of them that don't get played. I've love to see some of these goodies get some play time on the stage. Einstein Was A Surfer is one of my favorite recent songs, and I'd love to see it done live. I also love Trip Around the Sun, and I've never seen it live either. Dust off the unsung heroes and bring 'em out, we wanna see them too!

About Mark Twain I was trying to learn how to edit a book. I wrote a book then started the endless task of fixing the many writing flaws without changing the basic components of the book. I also started reviewing other books to expand that learning. I tried it on a Mark Twain book. I couldn't find any way to improve it. I guess it was because as Samuel Clements he had experience working as an editor. I think similarly Jimmy Buffet songs convey realistic emotion because of his life experiences.
