the Futures loop in the background- nostalgic chills. my first show was the Futures tour with TBS/the Format, and they opened with that exact cut where Jim sings the chorus of Futures acapella, before ripping into For me this is Heaven where each band member is revealed throughout the song. Hoping they'd resurrect that futures intro on the futures 10 year, I was of course delightfully surprised when they did just that. And now, I get to hear it once more, at least, on a KZbin video teasing the series.

Totally agree and so glad someone else remembers the chills that Futures intro gave on the live shows. I was on the edge of my seat this whole video hearing it again!! Wish there was a decent quality live recording from that tour somewhere.

I remember watching you guys play at my first show, when I was just 17 in high-school at the Pomona Glasshouse here in California. You opened with What I would say to you now. Still one of my favorite shows ever. Now, fast forward 20 years later. I’m 37, married, father, unemployed but thankfully still alive during a horrible 2020... I can’t think of a better way to start 2021 and every thing positive it’s going to bring to me and my family than by listening to my favorite band play some of the soundtracks to my life. Thank you for existing.

At a minimum, i gotta catch the futures concert... my favorite album of all time, futures, big car, jen, disintegration, nothing wrong, 23 ... its just such an amazing album and it has so many harmonies subtly and perfectly layered to make such a unique and entrancing listening experience... i fucking love futures

The last live show I saw before this pandemic was Jimmy Eat World at the Chance in Poughkeepsie. Brought my teenage daughters who were fans of the music, but after that show their eyes opened wider than their ears. Two more lifelong fans earned! Personally, I've seen all three of these album tours. Always killer live, I cannot wait to share this experience with my kids. Go get 'em fellas...can't wait to see y'all soon!
