@Josh Traffanstedt Thank you! Jerry Jone's ego to this day is still screwing up the Cowboys. What about how long he made Jimmy Johnson wait to be inducted into the Cowboys ring of honor? People talk about Al Davis and how the Raiders slipped late in his time as the Raiders owner. Younger people forget that from the late 60's on the Raiders had about a 30 year run where the maintained a level of excellence along with a few outlier years where they were in the AFC championship game and in the 2002 Superbowl. Jerry Jones could have easily positioned the Cowboys to go on a 25 to 30 year run of greatness but he was too busy flexing his ego and trying to monetize everything in sight.

Exactly what's been missing since jimmy left.

A coach probably couldn't get this type of motivation from today's players.

I think his scene on the airplane( ordering the stewardesses not to serve meals) in '92 after the team blew that Game at RFK was a bit over the top. Losing sucks, especially when giving it away. And I LOVE every Jimmy Johnson story as our head coach except for that one.

Not at all over the top. Jimmy cut a player that fumbled in a game played in the snow. That is a coach that you know you better do your best on EVERY PLAY, and the players wanted to do their best on every play for him and their team.

Johnson belittled Don Schula before his own demise at Miami... so much for who gets those golden jackets each year. Only Dallas fans should admire this person. By the way... there's just to many candidates each year for the Canton hall of fame... would you agree?

Jimmy Johnson was a great football coach. Everyone should admire him.

He just called Jimmy the General Manager, coach, and psychologist of the Dallas cowboys. Jerry Jones as much as he has tried to recreate that roster; to no avail. The Cowboys have been cursed since Jimmy was run out of town by General manager Jerry!
