I restored a 19631/2 Ford Falcon Furtura , two door Ht. , won two trophy one at first place at Salem, Illinois and one second place at Vergennes, Illinois in 1989. Ford motor co. made a nice Falcon that year. 1963 were the first year for the true hard top model, no door post. These are the best and rarest ones. Kevin Phoenix

I owned that car in 2011 and designed the interior and the hood scoop to what it looks like in this video. However, the restoration shop that I used did a terrible job on the engine, paint job and suspension and I sued him for this work. The paint job looks good in videos but it is a ten footer--meaning it looks good at ten feet, if you get close to it you will see all of the flaws. The front suspension was the wrong center link which cause the tie rods and sleeve to be held on with only 3 treads instead of 33 treads making the car dangerous to drive. The engine had the wrong cam which limited its top rpm power range to stop at 5400 instead of 6400. I have six cylinder cars that are faster than this car. It is a shame that the crook that restored it didn't do the proper work because this car had good potential . At arbitration/mediation I got most of my money back but the restorer got the car and shortly after that he sold it to a person or dealer in Texas. I know that this is my car because I designed a functional hood scoop from the original scoop that the car had and it can be briefly seen in this video plus the red & black interior is my design also. The car looks good but had or still has problems which I have mentioned and others unless it was re-painted and a different suspension and cam was installed. In my opinion, unless this car was repaired and corrected in these areas then it is not a good car. ron

This is the car I mentioned in my former comment. Notice this video did not show the undercarriage Suspension and and floor pans. Also, the cam sound may indicate that it was notified from the one that was formerly in which toped out at 5,400 not developing the RPM's to provide enough horsepower for decent performance. Also, all paint jobs and body work look good in pictures or video's. The idiot crook (Lil" Ant) that originally attempted to restore this falcon was a fraud After I sued him he sold it to someone in Texas and allegedly it is now in "Germany". Sounds better, looks good but if it is the same vehicle; and I believe it is, then it is still an unprofessional restoration and I have a six cylinder that can turn better track times.

Nice car, but, I think you will pay way too much, for nostalgia. Too much, for a working man. Or a disabled man. Love this year. Before Ford, lost their identity. 260, was a great engine, and prelude,to the 289. That was a race engine, you could juice up. Easily. They didn't go Heavy, but when then did, it wrecked the pony car, and made, all of it straight-line, drag racing, changed the sprint car, pony car, handling, and speed, for road driving. Weight consideration's, do apply. Falcon's are still sold in Australia, so, you never know. Like to run that wild Aussie Engine.
