just discovered jimmy scott and this song on Facebook. i love his sound and style. the song means to me on how much i love my mom and truly miss her. we layed to rest January 2017 and truly missed the woman i loved so much as well. its been bout 10 months now but the song and the way jimmy sings it. i really miss the nearness of them😭

WOW! And by WOW!, I mean HOLY COW!!! Today was the first time I ever heard this recording of a song I have played literally thousands of times in my practice room for, well, practice, and for personal enjoyment. And I have also performed it (back in the day) probably hundreds of times. I'm not a fan, per se, of Nora Jones. But I truly like her rendition of the song, and I play along with it on youtube frequently. One of my other go-tos to play along with is Ella and Louis' duet version. Pops really swings! But now there's this! There is a wealth of learning to be gained from just this one recording from this virtuoso artist!

i love Jimmy Scott....one of the greatest ever...... but Joe Pesci should have stayed out of the way......he almost destroyed the energy with his glasses and vibe....... Jimmy didnt need his help at all.....
