Gwen Stefani is indeed one of Tatiana's major influences, she had admitted this in interviews. Definitely check out Home Back as Old Man recommended.

In this regard it's somewhat similar to Pit of Consciousness, their best song before this one imo.

Tatiana is the Michael Akerfeldt (early 2000s) of the metal world today. And all of the different time signatures and the jazzy feeling of the guitar remind me of Opeth so much.

Good catch on Gwen Stefani. Tati has regularly talked about Gwen as one of her idols, and a primary reason why she got into singing, she would definitely take it as a compliment.

Great reaction, but I'm going to subscribe for the cool doggo at the end! Good spot on the vocals as Tatiana has mentioned Gwen Stefani and Amy Winehouse as being among the influences of her clean singing. She loves reggae too.

Luna! 😍 To me, Tatiana’s cleans are a combination of Gwen and Layne Staley of Alice In Chains. It’s hard to explain why, but I hear it every time. The layered vocal harmonies are especially reminiscent of Layne. I think that’s why her voice felt like such a great fit when she covered “Man in the Box” with Suicide Silence during lockdown. But anyway, yes, I love the song. As Johnny said, the first listen/watch was just getting a feel for the song. It took several more listens to process everything that was going on. I’M not going to leave another Jinjer song recommendation because I actually paid attention to what you guys said. 🤦‍♀️😂 You guys don’t seem to miss much when it comes to new releases. Are you at all familiar with Zeal & Ardor? Since you don’t make any money off these videos, why not start a Patreon?
@johnnyneedham9831
@johnnyneedham9831 3 жыл бұрын
Ohhh i can dig the Layne vibes for sure! I’m a big fan of Z&A. I noticed they released a new song a week or two ago but haven’t checked if it’s got a clip. Patreon is something we may look at in the future! Thanks for the tip 🙏🏼🤘🏽
@jen.g.
@jen.g. 3 жыл бұрын
@@johnnyneedham9831 I’m also a huge Z&A fan. There is a clip for “Run”, which is the song you’re talking about. Admittedly, I’m not sure I understand the video, conceptually. The handful of videos the band has put out previously seem pretty on the nose with their meanings. This one is a bit different. The song is fucking great though. Tossed out the Patreon suggestion because I already have a closet full of band tees and hoodies, so I don’t really buy merch. It feels wasteful to me. It’s like when people are doing fundraisers selling chocolate or wrapping paper. I’d rather just donate. I can’t be the only person who feels that way. Just a thought. 😊

Sorry guys, think your guest at the end stole the show 😄. To use the way way back machine, for some reason Drain STH comes to mind for some reason, particularly with earlier Jinjer)? Either way, I've adored Jinjer since I heard Pisces driving to work one morning, and would love to see them live (and agree, Tatiana has amazing range)

To me actually that song gave some Andalusian vibes in the beginning and the chorus then reminded me a bit of Gloria Estefan, strange? Well, yes, I suppose... 😁 Concerning Jinjer, there is definitely a score of fantastic songs (other people said that Jinjer isn`t capable of writing a bad song and I agree!) So what to watch? Of course "Pisces", "Teacher, Teacher", "Judgement and Punishment" (vocal one take), "I Speak Astronomy", "On the Top" and "Pit of Consciousness", "Ape" and "The Prophecy" and of course "Home Back"... Every one of them is a unique song and takes you on a journey. One of the most mad comments is:"I didn`t expect this!" OK, it`s up to you, guys, but now aou can`t say anymore that you didn`t know! 😉👍🤘

Pit of consciousness live in Kiev is my favorite live performance by them, sounds better than studio version imho. Most of their songs are absolute bangers tho you need to listen to more of their stuff even if you dont react to it. Also vocalist Tatiana is heavily influenced by Gwen Stefani good catch on that one.

Hi guys! I'm new here and I found you reacting Girl from Rio - Anitta (I'm brazilian :D ). I'm loving your videos and would like to suggest to react two brazilians singers. The first participated in The Voice Brasil. Her name is Luana Berti and the song is Mulheres (Women). Unfortunately, I don't know if there's a translation on the Internet, but her voice is wonderful. Another singer is Giulia Be. She has some hits here and one of them is in english. Too Bad is the song. If I can indicate one in portuguese it's Menina Solta (it also a spanish version). Thank you! xD

Hey guys, I love your reaction vids...they have the perfect combination of analysis, humor and sarcasm. 😆 If you decide to do some older Jinjer songs, I would recommend watching the official video for their song Home Back. It was written about the chronic fighting with Russian separatists in their homeland of Eastern Ukraine, but it has a new bigger meaning since the all-out illegal invasion by the psychopath Putin. Slava Ukraine!

It’s hard to know where to pause the song if we haven’t heard it, but the reason we do it is we both dislike talking over the music and it helps with copyright. Also by the time everyone watches our reaction they’ve already seen the official mv and heard the song anyway.
