Jon rotate your wrist that is grabbed in towards him sort of creating a rolling pin effect against his inner thumb , at the same time ur driving your weight in to him at a slight diagonal going the same direction as the wrist is rotating against his thumb. Sever things happen after that, most based in his reaction , but the clear path is set as you are uncoiling his position , shifting his balance and ground contact orientation . From there many options … but you now have several vectors to pushing into submission and power positions to slowly break him down. Or a quick readjustment to and I mean into punches. Happy to demonstrate 😊

Question for fighters: when Gordon moved the position to a triangle what is there to stop Jon from hammering his face in with the left hand? Especially with a freak like jon isn’t that a dangerous game to hope you get them to tap before you’re unconscious yourself? Never had someone throw a triangle on me so not sure how fast you’re screwed 😂 or is this purely a JJ scenario where you aren’t really worried about someone smashing their elbow into your face

@Pnw20813 күн бұрын
You never see MMA guys pivot like that with the triangle. They always keep it square almost every time. It looks so much tighter when he limited to the side. Jones wrestling is already the best in HW by far. I think he’s probably honed in and really perfected the intricacies of BJJ and gotten better at wrestling with the time off. He partied his whole career and screwed off during camp. Most guys say they don’t have a lot of time to learn new stuff in camp because they are working on getting in shape and a specific game plan. Jones has all the real life experience he needs. I think now he actually has the time spent especially with Gordon who has changed the game. Literally invented new techniques. And perfected every aspect of his ground game. Jones is definitely the most well rounded fighter right now that he’s ever been and he was already beating guys hung over and strung out on coke most of his career. He said he was bored with no real threats to him and that was the golden era of LHW division in UFC. He can get knocked out by a heavyweight with power I’m sure but he’s so technical on the feet too that he always dictates the distance and where the fight takes place. His arsenal of unique strikes has never been seen at HW. Jones had thown 4 elbow combos lol. 4 elbows I. A row who does that? Spinning back elbow. Elbow uppercuts. It’s crazy. And nobody throws knees like him either. His and with arms and legs and dexterity are freakish. He’s literally the ultimate fighter.
