Churchill didn’t cause the famine - it was caused by a cyclone that destroyed transport to the area and the Japanese had invaded Burma. Local grain merchants put up prices and it wasn’t possible to send shipping to the area easily because the Japanese controlled the seas.

The most interesting members in panel are perhaps the Indians. Also the absence of a discussion of Churchill as a war leader is intriguing. One prominent British historian described the consequence of the Battle of Normandy as "the apples of Sodom which turned into dust as soon as they were touched". A telling comment of Churchills claim as a war hero.

Here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, our main city square is called Churchill Square, the train station, Churhill LRT Station, and there's a big Churchill statue in the LRT station. The Bengal Famine of 1943 was a big mistake because otherwise, the last great Indian famine would have been the 1898-1901 famine. The British instead of modern India could have claimed they ended the famines. Now they have to explain famines starting with the Great Bengal Famine of 1770 and ending with the Bengal Famine of 1943, followed by partition violence.

Lezaran, Britain did not win ww2 neither did USA. The Russians won WW2, and they did it on their own. Russian losses were terrifying with 35,000,000.dead.British and Commonwealth lost 450,000,Americans lost 380,000.The Russians were lucky as Stalin beheaded the army in his paranoia in the 1930s.In Aug 1939, the Imperial Japanese army faced the Russians in Manchuria, the Japanese were defeated and signed an non aggression pact with Russia. They then avoided Russia and went elsewhere. The general in charge of the Russian army was a man called George pronounced Ge org Ge Zhukov. The Germans should have taken note. As for supplies shipped to Russia by the very brave men on the convoys, the tanks were not used. The Sherman was known as Tommy cookers by the Germans and the Americans called them Ronsons, because they lit first time. Russians didn't like their high profile. If any Brit doesn't believe me of the importance of Zhukov in ww2, he never lost a battle by the way, go to the Imperial War museum and see whose bust is displayed there. Much like the Japanese, the British avoided large scale operations against German forces. The British were not fighting a German army in North Africa, they were fighting the Africa Corps, which consisted of two divisions.
