This is a flashback video to the 65 mustang project. (Light blue) This was a fun project. It was early in my video making, and you can see how much I've improved. Hope you like it.

Oh, shoot! I'm going to have to look up this series. My 'Project' car, which is the car I had in High School, is a 1965 Mustang coupe, 289 2 barrel, Automatic transmission, and a split bench seat. That's My Car!

I just purchased a plasma cutter, man does make things a lot better, now I'm not doing or planning on complete reto job but just rust repair. A lot of people would let that type of job turn them away, but what you did proves that with a little tools and the want to it can be done !

1) I like dynacorn products. I ordered a rear valance panel from them after messing around with an inferior one from another company. This one is thicker and pretty much falls into place. 2) thank you for this video! I’ve been trying to figure out where to weld in my rear, outer seatbelt mounts. (Bad job by a company o hired years ago), and you inadvertently answered that question for me. (At least in the ballpark)

I was welding in shock tower reinforcement plates behind the coil spring on my 67 Cougar. I knew I was getting low on gas. Thought I could finish first side then get more gas. I ran out in the middle of the first side. Grinding out the bad weld was difficult. No space for angle grinder. My 120volt 30 gallon air compressor doesn’t keep up with die grinder.

Love that you are doing this. I am tackling a 1969 Mach 1 and my dynocorn floor is sitting in my garage. My equipment is just as you had in this video. I am scared to death of starting the plasma cuts though. You mentioned you had a jig, can you share the dimensions and make-up of said jig? Any assurances for my anxiety of cutting would be helpful. A jig would be just the thing.

Have you seen the Cobra Jet series? I’m doing the whole car in that one. I made the jig from a boat trailer. Videos on that too.

I have a completed car paint and all. I took it to my buddy who is in to cars and we got it on his lift and the one floor support is completely shot and rust on lots of other areas. Am I able to replace the entire floor like you did from trunk to toe area with it being complete if we remove the engine and trans. Along with the entire interior?

I wish you could do my 66, unfortunately it may end up scrap, another shop really stuck it to me good. Cheap metal parts improperly installed and lots of new rust where there was no rust before, and paid for work that never was done.
