Joe's right when he talks abt watching other people during hunting or fishing trips. My gf freaking loves to fish, she gets really excited just waiting to see what's on the end of the line...it's something I love abt her, and we fish from kayaks and she's pretty good at it👍🏻👍🏻

The predator instinct is inside all of us. We are and have always been predators we hunted and fished for food just because we don’t have to hunt in the commercial world we live in doesn’t mean our dna has completely changed. The adrenaline rush of hunting is always there. I’ve never done any kind of drug and if it is half as addictive as the rush of the hunt then I would be dead I live for that adrenaline dump of drawing back a bow or squeezing the trigger on a rifle to kill what I’m hunting from a the biggest deer to the smallest rabbit and squirrel. That one small moment before the trigger breaks or the arrow flys and the satisfaction of watching the arrow tear through the animal in the precise spot your aim was or seeing the animal drop from a well placed rifle round is an addictive experience.

It's not even a "don't have to" issue. It is absolutely impossible in today's world to be a self sufficient hunter-gatherer. We've developed so far we've made it impossible to go back. I can't camp for more than 24 hours without a permit in my state. Something is very wrong
