What I don't get about Joe is that he'll constantly theorise if animals might be conscious, as if it's a fringe theory, despite the fact evidence overwhelmingly suggest they are. They are sentient, conscious, feeling, thinking beings. And he'll then in the same breath talk about how maybe they are conscious and then talk about killing them. It's odd. Also, remember the only reason we don't say definitively animals are conscious is because consciousness isn't able to be proven. We can't prove other humans are conscious other than ourselves.
