They need to bring the Green Room back.

They need to bring Patrice and Greg Giraldo back from the dead, too. Then just rename the Green Room to Tough Crowd and make ol Gayhands the Mushmouth the host again.

It couldn't be done. Free speech has been restricted a lot in just these short years. The content would be considered too offensive.

Chef Jim wont happen. Why? Because people don't want open discussion in a humerus way. Things like this offends them. People have lost their ability to look at things objectively and now instead of listening and understanding people get offended. Reality isn't what we want it to be, it just is what it is.

Salvator seeno Yup. Saw an interview with Damon Wayans today, talking about In Living Color, and how so many things they did, wouldn't fly today. We've regressed so far.

Imagine stumbling across this not knowing who Patrice O'Neal is and your world changing forever
@TysonHook-22-7 жыл бұрын
Happened to me about 2 years ago, heard Bill Burr or someone mention the tough crowd days and instantly became a Patrice O'Neal fan from the first time I heard him. It was a great year downloading every O&A Patrice appearance and listening to an episode or two a day well at work. Its crazy Patrice never got his own radio show or a proper tv outlet (he reminds me of Norm Macdonald in that sense, hes extremely funny with a cult following, but because of his willingness to say anything and often burn bridges he ends up almost on the outside of fame/hollywood looking in, which in a way is part of what makes them both great... their just pure comics that love/loved to make people laugh). His perspective on the world was like no one elses he killed every time he appeared on O&A even on his rare off days, he was still always the funniest person in the room.

I kind of did lol. When Joe Rogan gave him a shout out the week he died I finally discovered Patrice O'neal. Thank god for KZbin because I've been able to listen to so much of what he had to say through episodes of Opie and Anthony, The Black Phillip Show, Tough Crowd, etc.

W. Dearth P.C. culture ended it, and P.C. culture won't allow another show like this on t.v. again.
@elbob177 жыл бұрын
I got acquainted with it last night. Gotta love going down the KZbin wormhole. All the episodes were pretty damn great aside from the Paul Mooney one for obvious reasons. He's a broken record.
@hdrjunkie7 жыл бұрын
thats why its up to all of us to say "Fuck P.C" we can't let a bunch of people with no clue stop shows like this because it hurts their sensitive feelings... I mean, you'd think that if they are so adult that they can sit and judge what others say or do, they'd also be adult enough to know all they need to do is turn off the offensive thing what ever it is and STFU about it. Hey the way I see it, they certainly don't care about our feelings when they keep stuff like this censored, why make concessions to spare their feelings?

Damn. Watching Patrice in this forum, it just slaps you right in the face how razor sharp he was. His loss, just as he was truly showing his genius, might be the greatest loss to comedy ever. It almost physically hurts to think of what he might have achieved. Every time I stop to think about losing him, I'm on the verge of tears. Thanks Patrice. Gone too soon brother.
@fuzzylogic2187 жыл бұрын
@21:57 Is a perfect example of why Comedy is the greatest thing humans can do. Margaret Cho could have gone back at Paul and she had that F U laugh but then you can see that in her mind she realized I need to do this right. She said "Its a different type of sweatshop" You cant get mad or offended with comedy. You just have to take what you can take and let the rest go. Even comedians have to realize that when up against other comedians.

@xcaluhbration7 жыл бұрын
DontPanic562 I don't know if I can blame the people so much as blame the companies that fold to these cultural terrorists. Then again would that make a messed up precedence? Like it's cool until something hits me hard and I'm now offended. We can't pretend were just so tough and nothing bothers us, something seriously even bothers the "idgaf" people and that's called "offense culture".

yeah that's who i was actually referring but i was talking for me, that's just my opinion i dont find him funny because i hate this music comedy thing, if people like him that's fine he looks ok he seems smart, good guy but he just doesnt really appeal to me, i like the old dudes in comedy... But i still dont think little jimmy is bellow this Burnham he just isnt, that's it, from what i've seen on Wikipedia he was just lucky and seems overrated. Jim Norton worked hard and you can see it in his comedy... jeez im pretty sure that he sucked at least 3 dicks to get on radio..
