So true man I'm not even close to being on his level but this dude is how I want to be in the 2 years that I've been really into lifting I've had some pretty crappy injuries that have caused me to have huge chunks of months where I haven't been able to do certain exercises but I still went into the gym . At one point I had a bad shoulder impingement and a really bad groin pull so we literally just did bro days every day of the week

I found hook grip painful for a long time, but eventually I was able to find a hand position that felt pretty comfortable. Of course I wasn't deadlifting 800, so that might be the difference.

Safety cages are the best spotter. Depending on your height and where the pins are set you may not be able to hit “depth” 🙄 on certain lifts, but, I’ll take a safe lift over a nonsense and dangerous fail.
