Embiid isn’t setting himself for failure. The only thing he has succeeded at is failing. The 76ers brought in pieces around him plenty of times, then he’s out because he’s made of glass. Ridiculously overrated, flopping everywhere, and whining like a 4 year old girl. He only got the MVP because Perk cried racism, so made everyone uncomfortable voting for Joker. As far as him thinking he could be the goat 😂😂😂. What did the true greats say when asked that question? Jordan, bird, magic, etc. they always gave others credit. Celtics are no superteam. Tatum and brown are superstars, and they built a perfect complimentary team around them. No one wanted KP anymore cuz the injuries. Jrue and white play their roles perfectly. But that’s the key, they are out there playing almost every night. That is something Embiid will never know about 76ers still get bounced in the semis as long as Embiid is there
@realtakes66743 ай бұрын
You right on point. We seeing his deficiencies first hand in FIBA basketball. Amazing player but caters to the foul baiting rules of the NBA. He’s going to score 50 on buckets? He does realise ALOT of his points come off free throws. Also he does not make reads out of double teams well. Tf is his trainer talking about, I remember them running 3 people at Kobe. Smothering Shaq in the post with a helpside defender on the baseline aka a double team. Teams are much more willing to double Embiid cause he can’t punish it the same way Jokic does. I’m an Embiid fan, but placing him amongst the Lebron’s of the world is the biggest FORCE. He’s not there. Lebron took a sorry ass team to the finals. He’s never made it to the conference finals. Let players set they legacy..stop trying to give us the narrative on a podcast.

Last year was Embiid's first season with a good coach who implemented good ball movement and spacing. The 76ers were 31-8 with him and 16-27 without him. Embiid averaged 34.7 ppg, 11 rpg, 5.6 ast, 1.2 stl, and 1.7 blks. Also, he sat many 4th quarters of these games because the 6ers were up by so much, so these stats could've even been higher on some nights. The only thing stopping him is his health, which is why it is not crazy at all to say he'd be in the goat convo if he had durability on his side throughout his whole career.

Yo someone run the clip of Embiid shoulder checking Giannis on the fast break when he's at full speed and him being the one that flops lmaoooooo that one was the actual worst

Wins the 76ers had with Embiid playing trash: 4/21/2018 vs Miami: Embiid shoots 2/11 and has 8 turnovers 4/29/2019 vs. Toronto: Embiid shoots 2/7 and has 6 turnovers 5/9/2019 vs. Toronto: Embiid shoots 5/14 and has 5 turnovers 6/18/2021 vs Atlanta: Embiid shoots 9/24 and has 8 turnovers 4/20/2023 vs Brooklyn: Embiid shoots 5/13 and has 5 turnovers 4/30/2024 vs New York: Embiid shoots 7/19 and has 9 turnovers That's 6 games where he shot below 40% and had 5+ turnovers and his team still won. Below are other stars that have won with similar performances Giannis: 1 time Jokic: 1 time Luka: 2 times Tatum : 2 times You add up the other actual elite players in the NBA and Embiid matches them in getting bailed out by the team by himself.

Yeah I’ll say the only reason I get tired of Joel is because of the flopping and it’s not even the flopping fr because every player does it, it’s just how he does it like no way someone his size is getting flung like that lmfao it’s like watching the call of duty ragdoll mechanics irl

LOW, adding onto why people don’t like him, just do me a quick favor and look at his flagrant foul count. Compare it to Draymond Green’s. Then look at how many games they’ve both played.

@MmaMadman853 ай бұрын
Remember, Shaq, Hakeem, David Robinson, and eventually Tim Duncan would have been people that would have guarded him "1 on 1" in a more physical league where is foul baiting would get Embiid benched... he meant to say he'd average 50 shot attempts but would only average like 19ppg. Bro is injury prone in today's game. Come on now.

Patrick Ewing would have been in the mix as well. Joel would have nightmares going one on one with Hakeem to get his "50".😁

Joel is just a modern day Patrick Ewing. Not overrated not underrated. Just a nice player with a nice bag but it’s not enough as the core player to reach championship status.

what was crazy about embiid saying he would average 50, they clearly said if he wasn't double teamed how much would he average. embiid even asked again for clarity -" no double". And he said he would average 50 how you gonna give a scenario saying "he cant pass out of a double" if the scenario was about there being no double teams??? he averaged 35 while being double and tripple teamed. wth is gonna stop embiid 1 on 1??? NO one is stopping him one on one and even if there is someone that can there are 82 games so whoever the one or two people are that can possibly stop embiid he'll be able to bully every other team and drop buckets on them

Some1 that can’t even make the conference finals, in a weak eastern conference, having better players, compared to Atlanta Hawks that eliminated them in 2021 eastern conference semifinals, even Luka Doncic in a better western conference, made 2 conference finals, while facing better competition, like the clippers and Phoenix suns that won 64 games & facing 50+ wining teams, in the west at every playoff game, and they were not favored to make. While Philadelphia were favored to beat all the teams they face in conference semifinals, from 2019-2022 and most of the time he chokes in the playoffs, can’t repeat his regular season stats during playoffs.
