Another great video Joe with some fantastic underwater footage as usual! I did think, when you said near the start that you were checking the boat was secure before getting on the motorway, your geography must be a little haywire for a route from home to Padstow!! You must have passed within a mile of me enroute! Footage of the Dolphins was great too, and as you mentioned in the video, take just what you need. Conservation at its best! Thanks, and regards - stay safe & well. 👍👍

That's a valid point that your other subscriber made. Its one of the reasons I've stopped using instagram to research my sailing and spearfishing trips. The "kill photos" with piles of fish always made me feel slightly uneasy despite being into the same hobby. I've been on a rant for years that a spearo's wetsuit is a uniform, and that all of us are being judged by the conduct of each other. As I head someone say recently "limit your kill, don't kill your limit" Anyway, a great video as ever Mr PK.

Wonderful and love all the prep etc, living 150 miles from my boat each trip takes planning so great to see the boat launch, the reason you went where you did. My season ends next week as its time to pick the boat up and head back to the midlands for winter storage. Keep the videos coming I already can't wait until next season. This years boating was rather short as the coved situation meant we could not get the boat down to the club until July so feel cheated, not anyone's fault just annoying

Haha, the old ones fell to pieces. The land rover spent 15 years rusting in a barn. When my Dad's series 3 had to get scrapped when the chassis fell to bits I stole the doors!

If people discard crab/lobster pots is it legal to take them and recycle/re use than after a period of time instead of leaving them In? I guess that would depend on the city/country laws.

We cannot remove them even if discarded. Not allowed per regulations I believe.

Don't you think that holding a shot fish (18:50) that is not dead and is still feeling the pain is inhumane?
@danspearo68934 жыл бұрын
This was probably just nerves, the fish was more than likely dead. In fact, I have taken the head off' flounder and plaice in the past, only to find them still kicking. The same thing happens with Bass, Pollock and mullet. After putting a knife through their head, their mouths can still sometimes twitch.
@mikeski7ify4 жыл бұрын
@Derek I do understand the good practice but this one does not look like anything happened to it except the spear hole. Please do not assume, just look at the facts.
@JoePkSpearfishing4 жыл бұрын
The reflex action you see occurring because some nervous impulses continue firing after the fish has been killed, especially those which short circuit the brain. I kill all my fish with a knife up through the brain and spinal cord, but often a degree of movement after this occurs for a few minutes.
@trampster73064 жыл бұрын
