Do you still listen to it or are you tired of it?)
@peteloomis84569 ай бұрын
@@konos6740I've been listening to Joe for 30 years and still listen to his music but I also listen to other guitar players and good rock bands but I always have at least 1 CD in my disc changer cartridge that has one of his CDs in it . I've got a lot of CD for music so I load multiple CD cartridges for my vintage Onkyo CD player and I can either just let the CDs play each CD through fully or I can turn on shuffle so it randomly picks a song off of a CD then played it then moves to a different CD and mixes it up . Lately I've been burning CDs to make extra copies of everything I have that way if a CD gets lost stolen or damaged I have a back up and the plan is to have 3 copies of every CD I have so I have all of my music for the vintage stereo system in my house plus I have the other set for my stereo in my garage and the 3rd set is stored away to use to make extra copies if ever needed . It's a long process but it actually saves me money and I've noticed that some of the recent CDs I've bought of music I like the recording sound isn't the greatest or that the volume isn't as loud as the originals were because they've been either remastered or just recorded illegally by someone that didn't do a good job of mixing it.

This was my favorite Satriani song to jam in the ambulance while responding to rescue calls when I was a Firefighter/Paramedic (Disabled now). Back then we had a tape deck in a couple of our rigs. I would turn our actual FD communication radio up and then crank this song for a couple of minutes on the way to the call. Two of my partners back then were more into much older, softer rock, but they always like it when it was my day to choose the music (Driver chooses the tunes) and I played this one. It's an awesome sound for those short trips to get on location while driving fast (safely) with lights and siren on.

Out of all my favorite bands and artists, Joe's tone is the best. He has a great mix of the vintage tube amp sound with a more modern take. His use of pedals never drown out the sound and each note rings out to perfection. Perfect blend of player, guitar, and amp.

Everyone request Marvel Studios to cast Keanu Reeves as Norrin Radd aka The Silver Surfer. And also them to use this awesome tune as his first MCU appearance travelling through the cosmos. YEAH! 📝🍻

Like others in the comment section, I was introduced to Joe Satriani by my dad. It was in the early 90s and he had two CDs, Surfin and Within You Without You. He bought them back when they came out to play on our big brand new Sony stereo system. He wasn't a guitar player just a fan of good music. I think its cool how in the 80s people were buying instrumental guitar CDs for casual listening. I wish it was still like that. The end result of hearing this as a kid was a lifelong obsession with guitar. Thanks Dad, RIP

Perfect idea for an official music video. Have Joe Satriani riding the Silver Surfer's board, and show him flying across every continent, past every major landmark from the Statue of Liberty to the Taj Mahal, from Beijing to Cape Cod, etc. 1:01 he flies past the Taj Mahal, 1:09 into North Africa, then at 1:13 flies through the middle east, dodging rockets on his way towards East Asia. 1:16 he enters Chinese airspace, 1:20 flies over Hong Kong on his way to Tokyo. 1:24 flies past Tokyo, 1:26 breaks the sound barrier to cross the pacific ocean. 1:36 Arrives in Malibu and blows out windows from the sudden stop after breaking the sound barrier. 1:42 immediately goes from 0-subsonic on his way to Canada. 2:28 he finds himself flying next to Air Force fighter jets mid flight, 2:31 he causes static interference as he flies away like their standing still. Then the rest of the video is basically him toying with the US Air Force by dodging lock-on missles and deflecting the armor-piercing rounds with his guitar shredding mastery. Honestly I'm surprised nobody else thought of it considering this song is almost as old as I am.

Guitars are still so f**king cool! Back in the day kids wanted to be rock stars - now they wanna be school shooters. Idiots. Suckers. Popular media sheep. Rock n Roll man!!!!

You don't care if a Rock n' Roll guitarist, band is from Germany, America or else, caus' rock itself is a nation.
