I bought 'Got Any Gum' when I heard on KLBJ FM in Austin, YEARS ago, that Joe Walsh would soon be doing a 'meet n greet' at Budget Tapes and Records, waited in the Incredibly Lonng line, while Joe told stories and jokes and ASSURED us all that he would not be leaving at the designated time given for the event, but would be there until Everyone got there turn. And when I got my turn, I asked him to please sign my album "To Rochelle, (my mom), From the Best Eagle, Joe Walsh". To which he obliged.😎 I thanked him and expressd that THAT was in both of our opinions, (with due respect to ALL band members 😌🙏), the Truth of the matter.🎸🤟🏼 And I WON 🙂 on her birthday.😀 Thanks again Joe. As a 60 Yr old now I started collecting vinyl all over again. Along the way picking up James Gang, Eagles, and then Joe Walsh records. Always loved his tunes, but noticed his crazy sense of humour looking at his vinyl. Joe Walsh albums are all wacky covers, funny, openings on the wrong side, labeled goofy, like puzzles, I love it! its his way of saying who gives a shit about standards, it about the ride. This vid makes all sense now.

For me, I was in attendance when Joe and "The James Gang" played their last bar gig, at a club called "The Jail" in Strongsville, Ohio, the night before the went to record their first album. It was the first time `I ever saw or heard them too. I've followed Joe's career ever since, something I hardly ever do. We've been loosing a lot of folks recently, I hope Joe lives for ever, well, not really, just a long time to come. ;-)

Used to listen to the .45 record of Life's been Good... when I was like 8 or 9 years old.. waaaay back then (near when it came out). I actually knew who Joe Walsh was.. BEFORE I had ever heard of "The Eagles" or knew their songs. So I guess I've been enjoying your music ... before I began to enjoy.. well.. Your music. :D Great to hear these stories... I still got that old .45 record. It's holding up after all these years I'm proud to say. It has survived countless hurricanes and disasters. Truly.. an epic record. Thank you for your music Mr Walsh.

I love Joe. I remember once he did a radio promo, he says when I am in Detroit City , I always listen to 98.7 for great song and then says, even when I am not in Detroit, I still listen to 98.7 and I all here is (imitates a static sound). He is a treasure

Doesn’t matter if he plays or tells stories, I could listen to Joe for a long minute. Learned a shitload of guitar licks as well over the years!😊

If he weren't a fantastic musician, he could have been a great comedian.

I saw Joe Walsh when he opened for the Doobie Brothers back in the early 90s. He was far better than them, entertainment-wise, and it was one of the absolute best concerts I’ve ever been to. On the Navy base in San Diego. Eight dollar admission and two dollar beers! Crazy, right?

It was a Sunday morning back in about 1981 -- up on Sugarloaf Mtn in Boulder, CO -- and there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and -- whoa -- it was Joe Walsh. He said he had run his car into a ditch and would I help him get it out of the ditch. Heck, yeah! After about an hour of tires spinning and mud and snow flying all over the place we got his Mercedes out of the ditch. He shook my hand and said "Thanks" and motored on down the road.

That song is one of my top favorite songs. I remember listening to that at 4am in the bedroom with the window half open in the 70s trying to keep the smell of smoke out
