Start the movie off with Joey coming home tripping, and finding his mom, pan up fade to funeral than fade to Joey smoking a joint and drinking on him moms grave. Cut to him walking to the party and getting told to fuck off. Build tension around the potential suicide, and boom next thing you know he's eating that monkey and muffla. Should all occur within the first 10 minutes. The rest of the fist movie can be Joey robbin folks till he has to run off to Colorado, and there better be a Vinny Warhead scene.

The ironic thing about this clip is that early on he talks about the fact that in Seattle his friends left for LA several months before he did due to money reasons, and yet later he says "if you tell me you're saving up to move up to LA, you're done!" It just goes to show that after awhile we stop seeing ourselves in the same realm as everyone else. If Joey would've taken his own advice back then, who knows where he'd be today.
