John Deere Repair - Fuel Filter / Throttle Bracket - 655, 755, 855, 955

John Deere Tractor Repair. This tractor has a broken bracket that holds the fuel filter and throttle in place. Diesel tractors rattle and shake so much that eventually parts come loose or break. Amazing that the 3/16" steel bracket would break from that.
To make this repair I had to remove the front end loader, disconnect the quick coupler hydraulic lines, remove the fuel filter and shutoff to get the bracket off to weld. Come along with me to see how I did it and hopefully it will help you as well.

Good timing! I had poor throttle response and I was thinking low fuel delivery due to the fuel filter being old. Turns out it was the exact same crack in the exact same location as in your video. $10 later at the local welder and it’s all back together. I also had the fuel inlet pipe to filter piece come out. Some JB weld fuel tank repair and I should be good! It all back together now, just waiting on the JB to cure! Thanks for this!

Sounds like you found a good welder to help you out. I had the same problem years ago and JB welded it and it’s still holding. Wishing you the best and thanks for your visit

Any idea on how to tighten the “locking mechanism” where it moves/slides over that black mount? Mine are both sloppy and causes the loader to move and sometimes dismount. It really sucks and does not appear there is any adjustability in it as both pieces are cast.
