John Farnham is one of my all time favorites. I’ve watched everything I could possibly find!!!!!!

Much of Australian music and media ignored John due to bad management...but one American born TV Show host of The Don Lane Show on Australian TV loved John and would have him on his show nearly a weekly appearance. At one time one of the guest was Sammy Davis Jnr who after John sang wanted to meet him...John was absolutely dumb struck lol. This performance is still one of the best versions of the song I've ever heard. Great reaction sir.

His voice singing this just lifts me up and takes me somewhere magical. I can never listen to him singing this without goose bumps breaking out all over my body. Our Farnsey is the GOAT!!!!

@AnnieD.1982 No, we can't. Gotta have our daily fix. Hi Annie. Have missed you all a bit in chats and things... I hope you're well. I've been doing the motherly thing... you know, driving 4 hours to pick the youngest daughter up from the airport, go to work, listen to everyone else's problems... A good dose of John always brings back my sanity. Haha! ❤️

@@Jojomac-ix7oi I have missed a bit lately too. Those live chats have been fun with you and the others 😊 Spending lots of time with mum with all that is going on. It has been really good 💕 More tests for her next week so keeping positive. What a good mum you are! Hope you get some more time to relax a bit and get some more of that addictive Farnsey magic. A day without a song from John just isn't worth living as far as I'm concerned 😅 Take care and catch you again soon ❤️ ❤️

@AnnieD.1982 How is your Mum . Staying positive is the best way to be. John played a very big part in bringing me back to having a positive outlook on everything, and listening to him every day keeps me boosted. I am very thankful to him for giving me back that part of my life that I'd been missing for quite a long time. Your mum has a wonderful daughter, and she is so lucky to have you. I really hope her test results will be good. You take care as well. Love chatting to you. ❤️

We all go OTT when we listen to John Farnham. How can you not. He is incredible. He had been around for 12 years already by 1979. If you would like to see a really young John 18 years old check out his performance of a song he wrote as a teenager. Even as a teenager he already had those vocal chops. He was yet to develop his wonderful stage presence and back then the TV shows used the recordings and the artists had to lip sync... and he was a terrible lip syncer. A talent he never seemed to be able to master....so he insisted on always performing live. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYO1h5Z-iJ56iLM

Love watching you continuing to discover and just love and appreciate our incredible voice! He has performed with some of the most legendary performers out there 🥹❤️ I mean how many others have been privileged enough to perform with Ray Charles? ESP aussies? He’s performed with Tom Jones, Céline Dion, cold play, Queen! I’m sure there are a tonne more but off the top of my head, the biggest stars… As a young man he got to sing in front of Sammy Davis junior too. Would love you to just watch a live version of an original song he wrote with his record producer and renowned keyboard player and composer called “In Days to come” - he references a few famous songs in the song, most notably “Imagine”.

John is from the UK, grew up in aus. Apprentice plumber to 19 year old pop star, in the 60's. Not originally trained, had a lot of great artists around him since. Vanetta Fields is a singing teacher. Watch them together with Amazing Grace. He can do just about everything, see Granada, with opera trained and stage singer Anthony Warlow, in the Main Event concerts. Also with Olivia Newton-John, please don't ask me. He sang with Ray Charles. Did a duet with Jimmy Barnes. Played JC in J C Superstar. Since his mouth Cancer he May be Done, but he's done enough. More than enough. Sings at home, still cracking jokes, breeds and rides his horses on his farm.
