John’s squat usually takes the biggest hit in his meets. He usually looks more shaky on his heaviest squat attempts which is likely from the water cut. Hi squats were awesome. His other lifts “struggled” by his standards. Still an insane total. I know his goal is 2300 @198. I might be next meet. It all comes down to health during prep and meet.
@greigite51919 ай бұрын
he basically did the opposite this meet, but 2300lbs at 198 would be the best total ever 100%
@chriscota16359 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s crazy that his squat did the best for him. He will get it dialed in I’m sure for his next meet
@sbdftw17029 ай бұрын
I believe his strongman training dampened his bench press. The squat and deadlift carryover was good but he didn’t do much bench while prepping for that so it got hit.

Imagine having an off day and STILL having a 1000+ kilo total. Absolutely nuts
@brandonkoval39069 ай бұрын
strength is always relative. So to him, with how strong he knows he is and if something isn't going the way it should, then to him yes that is not good even though to others it is a lot of weight

His bench suffered too much from strongman. He finally got his squat to where it needs to be, just needs to recover bench strength and stay injury free for dl, then he's got the 2300 in the bag.

John's real issue is that no one told him you're supposed to train bench and overhead. So while he was prepping for his strongman comp he stopped benching
