I powerlifter for 25 yrs and I was nowhere near 1000lbs. He is a beast. Now at 57 all of my joints feel like they belong to an 80 y/o. I've gone thru total knee, scoping, carpal tunnel, rotor cuff surgery. Do I regret it, not one damn bit. It was a way of life. LOL But the added supplements do age your joints, I will say that. I'm surprised he didn't use 100lb plates on his squats. That's what they will use at meets and to me, there is a difference in the way the weight feels and balances on your back.
@6subswith0vids806 жыл бұрын
How do supplements age your joints?
@charliesims23806 жыл бұрын
Because steroids tend to dry them out and because steroids tend to increase muscle growth more than they improve soft tissue healing so as the weights get heavier faster the joints tendons and ligaments can't keep up.

I aint a troll... not at all. I own my own gym, been lifting religiously since I was 18, im now 35. This is more than impressive. This is amazing. I will say this... this guy will be a cripple in 20 years, guaranteed. Everyone told me when I was younger to chill out on the weights and shit, because I was always stronger than someone my size and shape usually is... and i didnt listen. No matter how careful you are, your body is not meant for this strain. It WILL catch up to you at some point. Trust me, 3 blown discs, two tears in my knees, torn rotator twice, just to name a few injuries. NONE OF THEM WERE DONE DURING LIFTING. Your body will catch up to you at some point.
@abbaslim96747 жыл бұрын
No evidence whatsoever to support your claim. Some of the strongest people I've ever met are in their late 40s and early 50s. "3 blown discs, two tears in my knees, torn rotator twice, just to name a few injuries." I'm sorry but clearly you don't know what the fuck you're doing. Owning a gym doesn't necessarily mean you know shit about lifting... literally anyone can open a gym. Admit it: you messed your back and knees up squatting and deadlifting with bad form. Your rotator cuff injuries were caused by some sort of muscular imbalance, probably from too much bench pressing.

He asked a few episodes ago whether we wanted to see more videos in the style of the George Leeman one. He got a lot of positive response's so he delivered. What is the point in putting someone down who has clearly worked hard to create an incredible lifestyle and business? This video in particular is awesome, and all you can do is make shitty comments, you might want to re-evaluate your character. Here is some advice.... Before you say something, ask yourself if it's necessary and kind? If either of the answers are 'no', don't bother wasting oxygen and speaking it into existence.

+JFrisby92 amen brother couldn't of said it better myself, people literally just have nothing better to do with their lives than to talk shit.

The Lilliebridges are awesome guys. I wish there were awesome gyms like this where I live. All I got are huge commercial gyms who don't allow chalk and lame crossfit gyms who don't even have a power rack. Luckily I found a small little gym with decent equipment for powerlifting purposes but I wish I could go to a gym designed for powerlifting.
