The pullover is to fatigue the lats before going directly to a close grip pulldown or chin-up, allowing the biceps to assist in the movement and do more reps - By working the biceps and going directly to a lat pulldown/chin-up, the biceps are going to prevent the lats going to failure, what is the purpose or benefit of doing this?
@RoseAesthetics2 ай бұрын
Real talk bro. He’s doing a pre exhaust method(which you know), I’ll guess the stretch of the pull-overs, makes it easier to do Pulldowns mainly for your biceps. Mike did say that underhand pulldowns are the best bicep exercise(not me lol) I do Incline bench, Pullovers and then Biceps curls as a superset. That is perfect bc they work synergistically while resting.

Great interview. Regarding Mike's routine as described: why would you pre fatigue biceps (the weak link) before pulldowns/pullups, etc? Isn't this *problem* of arms being too weak for maximum back stimultion the reason for Nautilus pullover machine?

Thats for training arms specifically on arms and shoulders day

Hitting each muscle a bit more frequently like you specified worked for me best in my youth. About every 4 to 6 weeks took a week off. Don’t be afraid to take an extra day off from the written plan when life throws high stress problems at you (job or relationship etc).
