What better person to interview and air the day before Earth Day than John Robbins!🌎 The Universe seems to provide the right people at the right time. John Robbins although he may not think so, was groomed for this time to help us open our minds and eyes to the power we have when we work together to be true stewards of the earth. Thank you Rip for this discussion and the dynamic way PlantStrong is contributing to help heal the planet, human beings, and all living things! WFPB for the Earth and all it’s creatures.

I read John Robbins’ Diet for a New America when I was a Jr in high school and it had such an impact in my life. Listening to him 35 years later he is still such an inspiration. At 51 y-o this is the first time I’ve actually heard him talk so this has been such a treat to watch this interview. Thank you

Hi Rip, i just wanted to say thank you for bringing John Robbins in to talk. I read his book when I was in college back in 1989/90. And I even heard him talk at my university when he came to discuss his new book at that time, "Diet for a New America." But I wanted to make it clear to you and your listeners that John was not the first to proclaim this information about environment, health and animal welfare. Frances Moore Lappe trailblazed this concept back in the 1960's with her famous book, "Diet for a Small Planet." It is a must read for all the plant based folks out there and everyone needs to acknowledge her contribution to the Whole Food-Plant Based Movement!

Not sure if John remembers, in the mid 2000s after a nice talk at his home I noticed the stove wasn’t a gas stove and I said why not a gas stove? As I thought it was the best… and he said something like the pollution… and I said doesn’t it burn off… and he said something like it’s got to somewhere and it doesn’t all burn off. Amazing how he is right about everything as far as I know. And about 13 years later San Francisco bans gas cooking stoves in building. And state it is the number one cause of home pollution. And its all over the news. It is amazing how informed few are and how behind even a progressive government like San Francisco is. Thanks for being you John! And thanks for sharing!!!💜

I’ve listened to most, if not all, of your interviews and I must say this is the best one. This is the one I’ve now watched twice and will probably watch again. I knew John had written Diet for a New America, but hadn’t read it, and didn’t know he had written other books also. After I heard this interview, I ordered that one and also The New Good Life both of which I am eager to read. Thank you for one of the most impactful interviews I’ve ever heard.

Thank you for this most inspiring episode. The discussion between the two of you was so honest and raw and real. I could've listened for at least another hour. Hilarious! KZbin played a Culver’s add, before starting the video. Culver’s single vegetarian burger has more cholesterol and calories than their regular burger. Culver’s has one soup and one salad, on their menu, that are vegan and healthy.

John's story reminds me of Siddhartha. A boy growing up in a palace with untold riches choosing to leave because he could see the injustice in the world and he didn't want to be sheltered in the palace anymore. He went on to become The Buddha. (At least this is how I remember the story I read by Herman Hesse 30 years ago)

1. To work inside the healthcare system issues not all it’s cracked up to be. Your father knows this but cannot talk about it. 2.And yes, money is not the answer. If you want to really really step it up, check out Esther Hicks workshops. They are now on several channels for free on KZbin thanks to her thousands of fans. She holds Saturday workshops online for $50.00. She’s been doing workshops and cruises for decades and is known around the world. I’ve been down the wonderful paths you imply. These workshops and emotional hierarchy concepts cap everything. The clarity, the freedom, the joy. It puts “lots of money” in perspective. Esther or Abe Hicks Q and A style workshops. It will put everything into perspective.
