Hello my PLANTSTRONG Papayas,
We’ve got the Ultimate Broc Star on the PLANTSTRONG Podcast today, Mr. Tony Robbins.
You know Tony as an entrepreneur, best-selling author, philanthropist, and the nation’s #1 life and business strategist. For over four decades now, he has been encouraging people to take control of their destinies and become, as he says, “the CEO of your own health.”
This week? He’s on the podcast to talk about his new book, Life Force: How New Breakthroughs in Precision Medicine Can Transform the Quality of Your Life & Those You Love.
Life Force is a true passion project for Tony to help everyday people searching for answers on how to improve their energy, vitality, and strength that extends and lets them live healthier, longer lives.
Today, we discuss the top 6 health threats most people face-cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, stroke, and autoimmune disease. He not only shares some of the groundbreaking new technologies being developed to fight these diseases, but in true PLANTSTRONG fashion, we dive into the lifestyle changes we can all make to improve our health right now-I’m talking whole food, plant-based nutrition, quality sleep, and movement.
Remember, your DNA does not fully determine your destiny. It’s your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You, too, are a Life Force.

Thanks a lot. I used to enjoy talks given by self improvement people. But now, for several years, after I listen to whole food plant based doctors and advocators everyday, I found that every aspect of my life significantly improved automatically. I found that my sicentific and logic thinking abilities greatly improved. Before I could not win a single argument even though I was right, but now I can easily win a lot of arguments, because all the controversies around food, diet, health and lifestyle actaully greatly enhance my learning and critical thinking abilities. God bless!

I LOVE TONY ROBBINS' WORK. I'm a NLP- coach myself and I walked the firewalk many years ago (long before I started as NLP-coach). The firewalk was lifechanging for me. It got me out of my depression and panic-attacks. ❣️

I was suprised to hear Tony Robbins in this podcast! I love Tony for his work but would not go to him for food advice as he promotes things like coconut oil and eggs. But have listened to the podcast it's good to know that he gives the advice to eat more plants.... he has a great following, and every step people eating more plants is good

I agree with you on all of your points. But also concerned about the use of animals in experiments and especially for their organs to be transplanted in humans. But, also like you, I am encouraged by his support of plant based nutrition. I further admire his quest to solve issues and to fund new technologies.

Yes I agree. I like him but again these things that he speaks about seems like we can still eat crap and heal ourselves through these new means. I like that Rip talked about diet and that is how we can heal ourselves too. Not my favorite episode but worth a listen too.

I hope Rip will get him to be more WFPB. I understand Tony eats a bit of animal products for the protein and probably the "variety", and was only 100% plant-based for a short while. He also doesn't like the idea of anyone suffering, he has a lot of compassion, I just hope that someday he extends it consistently to animals. 🙏

I'm glad to hear that Tony Robbins is giving money to feed people. My first thought about all these cutting edge treatments is how much do they all cost and how can a low income or even middle income person like myself could afford the testing and treatments. I'm interested in knowing what is going on in myself. I am vegan, take supplements and exercise daily but I know we live in a toxic world. I would like to know more about how to find these resources and the costs as well. Thank you for hosting Mr. Robbins. I learned a lot of new things.

I also am afraid that people think they don't need to do what is necessary to avoid the problems in the first place, like, there is a cure....

Thanks Rip for bringing Tony on your show. He is so full of energy and really wants to make a positive change in peoples lives. I can only imagine how difficult it is to use the profits of the sale of his book to feed so many people and not have the power on what kind of foods get donated. Plant based would obviously be the best but I feel Tony would need to partner with a company, offering plant based foods, that would receive the funds he provides and send the food to the food banks. Perhaps a company such as yours. Your healthy food is packaged and ready to ship.

Love this Podcast and Plantstrong organization! I think it’s great to have people who are sharing the experiences they’ve had and healing they’ve experienced through educating themselves and questioning mainstream norms. I didn’t agree with everything Tony said but he has some good ideas but I did find his communication/passion for the subject on this podcast overwhelming and a bit exhausting. He never let Rip have enough time to respond to comments and I would have learned a little more had he taken a breath in between topics. That being said, I do applaud his work and appreciate his motivation for helping the world become a better place!

When people need energy, we could use Tofu, which is so high energy. If your heart is good, then you can use nuts like walnuts, cashiews, and so many high energy nuts, or avocados. If your sleep is good, you can use green tea, black coffee beans, black coco beans, which are also so high energy. I know some people use algaes for energy. These high energy foods have no side effects. Or just bring a loaf of whole wheat bread and a few bananas everywhere can help greatly too. God bless!

Ok, all sorts of amazing science but no compassion for animals, not balanced. Sure, Tony Robbins has a place in the world because he wants to access the best science for humans. But being still invested in using other animals rather than respecting them, still only human centred, that isn't going to work in the future of this world.

I love Tony Robbins, but I feel you should ONLY Have WFPB people on here. After all, we are PLANT STRONG. This just confused me, by him talking about healing of diseases and joint pain by everything EXCEPT through your diet. NOT encouraging at all.

Another episode I had to abandon when junk science on animals was discussed. Many have entered the plant-based space via the animal rights movement, have seen the footage of what victims of science endure and find mention of it to be very triggering. Perhaps Rip should consider having a content warning at the beginning of podcasts when this occurs.

Animal research has brought about much needed science. I am against cruelty for useless things like cosmetics. However, medical research in humane conditions is necessary.

I’m glad someone posted this comment! That was hard for me to listen to. I am against humans exploiting animals and there are more effective, cheaper alternatives that do not require the use of animals for medical research and research taking place in labs are most certainly not humane. We have to demand industry and government steps up and uses what is MOST effective for medical research. PCRM has lots more info on this topic and is working toward helping industry and government adopt change which is for the benefit of both humans and animals.

I'm glad Tony Robins is a friend of Dean Ornish but also it's amazing and a great development that there may be a study coming out from Ornish about Alzheimer's and the benefit of a specific diet the issue.

Wow, it's scary that he had mercury poisoning and so bad. I ate a large amount of Tuna back in the 90s, in sandwiches. I think it might have seriously aggravated already big mental health problems. I'm doing well now. To bad Tony Robbins is pushing the cancer screenings and I follow Mcdougall's very conservative approach to medicine.

"If it is calcified it is healed; you have nothing to worry about." Please don't believe this. Talk to your healthcare provider/cardiologist to assess your personal situation. Calcified plaque=atherosclerosis. I cringe when people make general statements that do not apply to everyone. Please err on the side of caution.

The nonchalant and almost celebratory way the pig heart was mentioned was difficult to hear. Humans exploit animals all the time and generally I feel safe from such exploitation in the plant based community but not today. I really disliked being thrown into a meat eater’s mindset in this episode.

Tony had always been a great snake oil salesman and full of fluff. Never any details. However, as he has aged, I believe he has become a bit more etheric in his thinking. His spirituality has grown.
