Saw them in a little bar in San Diego right after the movie came out. Must have been less than hundred of us crammed in there. They sounded EXACTLY like this. It was unreal. The Wild Summer Nights bar scene filmed at Tony Marts in Somers Point NJ. The place was torn down shortly after filming but for nearly 40 years it was one of the hottest spots at the south Jersey shore. My dad spent many nights there in the early 60s. The movie caught the vibe of the place n time exactly.

One of the best rock songs EVER! John and the gang should get a hell of a lot more respect. The rhythm guitar rocks, the bass is thumping harder than a trip hammer, and the sax is scorching. Everything to love and nothing disappoints in this song. Thank you guys for writing and performing this. A side note, I prefer the version of the video with the real band and not the film version. I always did get a hoot watching John do that one legged hop thing and you can see the band is having a good time.
