To the 1st caller - if your kids are thriving without their father & are not crying for their dad then thank God & move forward. Children are smart, no child is ok with their mother being treated poorly by their father. Take those babies and stay away from him. He needs help & therapy. When his rebound doesn't workout & the dust settles when he's all alone, he will be back! Close that door, he abandoned his wife and children, their is no excuse. Yall deserve better, God bless 🙏🙏🙏

Dr. John is the bomb. I recently emerged from a horrendous, 7-year reign of despair which included more losses than I will utter out loud ever again. Less than two years ago, I came within a paper thin distance of taking my own life. I wish I had this guy to call when I was going through all of that. Granted, I had God with me every step of the way, but sometimes we need that close, personal, one-to-one compassion we find in others, and John Delony exudes that in every single call he takes. Now that I am gratefully blessed to be on the healing mend, I can see the light again. I can listen to the callers and empathize with their pain like I never could before, and I love how he comes through with solutions. Very few calls I can listen to without developing a lump in my throat at some point. He's a rock star therapist. I just pray when his notoriety hits an even higher stratosphere, and it will, that he remains grounded and reachable to the people that need him. God bless you John.

Jeremy, I hope so much that you see this. Thank you for sharing your story. I feel as though I’m in the exact same position you are. Completely and utterly alone in mind and spirit. Feeling like I’m in an echo chamber and am sick of hearing my own inner voice. I have no idea what I’m gonna do but have been thinking about Hail Marys. Dr. John said to act your way into becoming someone you’re proud of. I can honestly say I feel like I’m acting my ass off right now. It’s still tough, and I still have moments of sheer panic. But I’ll keep going if you do. Thanks again for your call.

Dr John, you give some of the best life advice that i have ever heard, thank you! I am finally free after 2 very dysfunctional marriages...i was trauma bonded for so long...but i found an outstanding therapist, have worked hard in therapy, no longer trauma bonded. I want to finish my life strong, making healthy choices, discovering who i am & living my best life. Also setting a good example for my grown son, being courageous & making healthy choices.

This just happened to me this past March. Almost exactly. I have a son. He's just going to have to wait for the divorce. I have more important things to pay. Like her, he wants me to file and pay. He blocked me from his cell number. I don't even know where he lives. He calls me via private number. I stopped answering. So disrespectful of him. I want a divorce but it's too expensive right now.

Mine decided after 30 years of marriage that he no longer wanted to work. He refused to help with debts he had caused. Then he started mass cheating. I dumped him a slide is better now. I make half what I used to make but I seem to have so much more. I’ll never date or have anyone else in my life again. Not worth it.

Thank goodness my children were 15 and 22. But my daughter was pressured to see my husbands girlfriend and when she didn't as she just wasn't ready but would have come round he just didn't see her. For 5 years, he barely saw his children, and when they finished, he had to try to see them again. God Bless them they did with my encouragement, but they don't feel the same about him. He lost a lot of their love and respect. And they are such good children. Who now have their own children. I hated him for that. And her who fussed and pouted because they wouldn't do what she wanted.. To me my children will always come first.

She's suffering but also comfortable with her victim role. Thru the sympathy she receives as a poor mistreated woman, she gets the validation she desperately needs. But doesn't realize how toxic that is. It's the wrong validation. The guy never respected her one bit. Not a glimpse and it is very clear. Her story didn't happen overnight-so why is she telling it as "oh this is happening to me, what should i do? I'm a people pleaser" - no you're not. You-have lost sight of who you are and chose to lick your wounds. The guy doesn't give a flying crap about her. She is nothing to him and acts accordingly. Her ongoing suffering and victmhood only dignifies what he thinks and feels about her. Woman pull yourself together! You deserve it!! And your kids diserve it as well!

He has to hit bottom first and begin, all on his own, to want to make an effort to improve himself. The first callers husband was obviously a bad father. She should go no contact with the guy for herself and no contact for her children and as she heals she will find better examples of healthy masculine energy for her children. Yes, children need a father. But some fathers are so unhealthy it would be more traumatizing to have contact especially if he is going through other women and not even having the ability to show up for the custody piece in court. That says everything. Sever contact with him. He is too toxic.

I was married to an angry child as well. I came home one day to him making our teenagers sit in the front room to witness him throw me out of our home after twenty years of marriage ( on my end, he barely showed up for most of it. ) He put on a big performance” it’s over! You need to move out! No one can stand you!” Then he didn’t lift a finger to find for divorce. I had to stay there for a year after that. A few days later he actually said “ you know I’ll always take care of you Mary.” It was insane. Bridget you are FREE. Your kids have a healthy parent who is there for them.
