As humans, both men and women, cannot emotionally survive in a void of no emotional or physical contact. We know from studies of all humans and all mammals that lack of contact leads to deviance and insanity. Humans are social and intrinsically dependent on contact with each other. Exile from society is worse than the death penalty. As humans, we can survive horrendous abuse and deprivation, if we are given the illusion that our pain ensures the life of a child. We have to love humanity who will suffer torture on the chance...that a child might be saved from pain. That is humanity. That is who so many of us are. Because when your baby is desperate and helpless, just point and ask for help. I don't care that you are racist or have made bad decisions. Just point, and I will cover that innocent body with my own. Because, like you, I was born to give and save life and not take it...without cause. If a child is lost or scared and grabs me, I am a full-on Mom until someone steps up with ID and a voice the child recognizes. That is how we protect our own. When you’re married you have a responsibility to consider your spouse in every aspect of your life, to be respectful of your spouse, and to not put yourself in a position where you could develop a close and intimate relationship with someone else which could elevate into an affair. My father cheated on his first 2 wives, in both instances it was with women who just happened to be around him a lot, his kids babysitter and his secretary (yes my dad was a cliche lol). Dr. John is 100% right, most instances of affairs aren’t where one person seeks out someone else, people are opportunistic cheaters for the most part, they cheat with people they’re around, a boss, a coworker, an employee, female (or male) friends, a neighbor, a spouses friend, a friends wife etc. So if your spouse values your marriage, he or she SHOULD prioritize making you feel secure in your relationship by not being around people he could cheat with, even if that means giving up friendships to save your marriage.

My husband and I met at 14 and only dated eachother. There is absolutely no part of me that thinks my husband would cheat. He comes home to me every night, tells me about his day. He's just not like that. Cheating is a series of choices. A person can choose to create healthy boundaries with the opposite sex, to talk about their spouse in a certain light around others so people know that person is in a committed relationship. Yes, yoy may question but then the next choice is what matters. Do you follow that curiosity or do you seek support from a counselor or talk with your spouse about it and make a game plan. I can’t describe how helpful your videos have been. My partner has been inconsiderate about his attention towards attractive women, and while I don’t worry he’s cheating and he is very affectionate with me, I also think my values are being disrespected because his are slightly different. Personally I don’t think openly excessive porn consumption or commenting on pretty women frequently is ok. It just sews distrust in me and makes me concerned for our future. You have showed me that it doesn’t matter if other women are ok with their partner being so expressive about his attraction for others, I am not. I’ve had a past of being cheated on and even if there are no intentions and he is never secretive or overtly disrespectful, I can still feel uncomfortable and I don’t have to gaslight myself into not caring. I do care. Shallow lust is in my past, and I want to be with someone who can see that stuff, maybe feel into it for a moment but then move on. I watch porn occasionally, but not nearly as much as I used to because frankly, it’s often just grossly objectifying to women and I don’t like the views on sex that it encourages.

I disagree with John on this one. Im an union journeysperson electrician. Ive had my own service van and have had experience with training apprentices one on one. Im also married, and have been married for almost 6 years now. When im out in the field, and im over a customer's house, and we're charging them $100/hr to troubleshoot an issue, or put up a ceiling fan, or run a new circuit to the kitchen for their new appliance, the last thing im thinking about is how i can cheat on my wife. And im definitely not spending time checking out my apprentice. If im installing a hot tub, im making sure that i size the wire correctly to handle the load of that hot tub. I know what size wire to use based on table 310.16 in the 2020 NEC code book. I also know that my breaker needs to have GFCI protection based on article 680. I also have to follow the manufacturers instructions because article 110.3(C) tells me im required to follow what the manufacturer says. And meanwhile i have to make sure that im teaching my apprentice this knowledge also, while keeping in mind that the customer doesnt want me wasting time and racking up a large bill for them to pay. When we're out in the field time is money, and we have to make money so we can pay our bills. We also have to make sure we're doing the work safely and providing great customer service. This doesn't leave time for us to flirt with our apprentices. And i dont care if i have a guy or a lady apprentice. I want someone who wants to learn, who wants to be in this trade, and who is willing to work hard. And both a man or a woman are capable of doing this work.

Ok at the risk of being the person who goes against the grain here, “she’s tall, she’s beautiful… they’re together all day etc” ( probably sharing meals together) there is a whole lot of gut feeling going off in this caller and by her own admission she hired against that. As great as her husband is, he’s not Superman. Even if she thinks she knows her husband, she doesn’t really know this woman ( not like hubby is going to get to) and she handed him over to her. Even if hubby is trustworthy to a point; if that other woman finds him attractive, she’ll move on it and now hubby is in the test of his life. If he fails, he has the perfect alibi, “ they’re just working together “. I’ve seen unexpected things happen in new couples as well as older long married couples. Don’t expect your husband to be Superman, look out for his best interest and don’t push him into temptation if you don’t have to. Every time I witnessed a situation go wrong I was completely surprised. The last time, it was a respectable, tall and beautiful gallery manager who fell for a union leader , she found him attractive and moved on him( working together on business), he had a respectable marriage for over 30 years, wife who had cancer, and the business lunches got longer and longer. Long story short, the wife is now the ex and the gallery manager is married to the union rep. Nothing wrong with putting up a few safeguard rules to help protect your marriage.

She and her Husband should have hired the best man to work with the Husband. The Husband may be totally trustworthy and the woman he hired may have character, but you really don’t know that person and if she does come on him in any way he’s going to be on edge all the time fighting advances or fighting lust , fighting rumors of people seeing your husband riding around with a woman all the time . Why take the chance . Hire a man to work with your husband and hire a woman to work with the wife when she gets involved with the business in the future .

I’m very blessed. My husband learned how my previous experiences made me feel (justifiably) insecure and devalued and traumatized. He ponied up and has lived decades demonstrating that there is no way possible that he will be unfaithful to me. When he makes me feel disrespected (bc he’s a human) he immediately apologizes. I don’t hold anything over him. I do share feelings with him. He is a confident and successful man in his own right. I also am supportive of him and acknowledge my actions when they are hurtful. It can work out. 31 years in and we’re both very happy in our life together.

Never ever allow it, a partner to spend a lot of time with someone of the opposite sex by themselves day in and out. Protect your relationship all the time. It’s human nature. If your inner voice is shouting red flag, don’t talk yourself out it. Listen to it! Oh, my heart is aching on this one. I hope it’s not too late.

John, I'm 60 and I heard this from my female high school teachers. It's archaic. Being a mentor, teacher, supervisor, or administrator removes intimacy. Friendship and comradeship are fine. I've always been the overeducated, mentor boss in this situation from an early age. I have had both female and male employees who wanted to be my friend or establish intimacy. And yes, many of them were younger or older than I, and some of us had a genuinely possible mom/child, sister/brother, or life-long friend connection. It can't happen at work. Two years later...you can meet and laugh...ten years later...you can call and laugh. Yes, I still love you. We raised 45 difficult kids with love, compassion, humor, and professionalism..on pure guts and our personal dynamic alone. If that's not love and family, what is?

Your problem is thinking your husband is perfect, he isn’t. There are plenty women who will pass on him he can’t just get with any woman he wants because the woman also has to choose him. If your issue is how great these women around him are have you ever thought they maybe out of his league? Because he is a father of 3 just as you are a mother of 3. I am sure he has aged too. And if he runs off with the women he will have to pay child support to you and you 2 divide the business you are running together. That makes him even less appealing to these awesome women together with their own personal values. So why is him cheating such a big deal? The best way to deal with this is to spend your energy preparing for him cheating and leaving you Eg make sure your paperwork and money is in order, learn the business skills if not already, work on your own body not for him but for yourself so that you can be the best version of yourself in whatever season you are in, protect your “easygoing” and mental health don’t do everything for him share responsibilities or get helpers . If you do all that and he still cheats so be it, at least you will be ready for next chapter and not too dependent on him. You can’t always be 15 or 25 or whenever you 2 met. There is always going to be a younger woman. You just have to age gracefully not compete with them. If he finds an attractive young woman be ready to attract your own older man or get out of the game/retire from it all. He is not God and not all women sees him like you do

She literally built the worst possible situation for her husband. Making him a mentor being alone as a supervisor all the time with a beautiful woman . She is basically forcing him to cheat. Things happen when you are put in such an extreme situation 40h/ week .We all have hormones. They will be friends at some point and sorry to say all men want to sleep with such a woman if she is beautiful. Honestly this is idiocy at her part. First time I can say that if he has a fling with her thats at least as much on the wife. Delony makes perfect sense! Also uf she realizes that she doesn't take care of herself anymore well then jealousy is telling her to change that. It is not that hard to do.

There is more than just psychological confidence, there is also physical confidence, that is what caller is currently lacking and it is effecting her attitude towards her husband & marriage. Caller needs to talk with husband about setting some time aside so she can work out (gym maybe?) & have healthy meals for herself & family. Husband will love the results!
