I highly recommend the Japan-Cut version of the movie. Some good additional scenes, but in first place it has a much better soundtrack. The J-Cut is often on special edition Blurays of the movie, but only in SD DVD quality.

It's forgotten because it was terribly acted . Was based on a great short story but it did not do well on the big screen . Glad to see it get some attention but I think it deserves a reboot or just leave it in the past as a kick starter for future films .

Keanu Reeves has made some bad movies. And in some of the scenes that take place on the streets, you expect the Super Mario brothers or the Turtles to show up right away. But with age, this film has gotten better than he was perceived to be at the time.

@@bilwisss 1. Cyberpunk, NOT science fiction. There is a difference and Gibson helped define it. 2. 320 GB of data not 32, a nit pick. 3. Every true cyberpunk knows who Johnny is. 4. Sont blew a lot of money trying and failing to advertise it. I removed thumbs done. I was grumpy but, he kept saying Scifi. It is not Science Fiction.

No it doesn’t deserve more attention. The pacing, acting, special effects, plot, all of it is terrible. Ice T is the only “good” actor in the move and you can imagine he was just told to just be angry.
