This song is a song of reflection. It reflects back to the "Summer of Love" in 1967 and was a favorite at the Haight/Ashbury love movement. It entered the charts at #81 and finished at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, #6 on Cash Box, and #10 in Canada. It references Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band twice, as that was the prevailing album of that year. Such an underrated song. Johnnie Rivers mainly performed "Covers", but his version's were often better than the originals. This version is not as good as some of the others, and I encourage checking them out.😀😀😀😀

Ah, back to my teenage years, me and several of my friends were really into Johnny Rivers. Our favorite was Poor Side of Town and Secret Agent Man - both big hits back in the day. By the way, loved your intro music (Hallowed Be Thy Name - Judas Priest).
