I can’t hear this version of “Spring Day” without tears leaping out of my eyes. The rawness and urgency in their voices. I’ve watched this Tiny Desk at least 30 times at this point since it dropped, and that emotional response is the same each time. God, I’m so glad I found them when I did. There really is no one like them.

You know what is good about this tiny desk is , when I see new reactors watch it first they are in amazement of how well they sing live but in turn , turn around show it to their friends who also become fans just by watching this. The other thing at this is what I got from this when I first watched it is how distinct each individuals voices are yet when they sing together they blend extremely well without actually sounding the same. BTS are really only a few group I believe can do this. I find in many case when groups sing as a whole unit you can hear their different voices which is fine but its great to still be able to hear each member while still sounding like a blended unit if that makes sense. Im glad they didn't make each member change to sound similar if not the same as each other, otherwise to me they wouldn't be the same BTS I love. Everyone should watch this if they doubt anyone one of the members ability to sing. Thanks for the reaction.

Thanks John for your genuine reaction. I love this TDC because it’s no frills,like you said, and it really highlights their natural talents. I wish they would do more like these. Btw, their outfits are from the Dynamite era (disco pop). They had not done this concept before. Usually Army can tell an era by what they wear during their concerts and promotions.

I love this performance! I couldn’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen it but I never get tired of it. Fun fact…when J-Hope & Jungkook harmonize in Save Me they don’t usually do that. J-Hope asked JK to harmonize with him (it’s in a behind the scenes video) when they were sitting there on stage.

The version of Spring Day they performed is called “Spring Day (Brit Rock Ver.)” I think it was for one of the Festas and was also featured in their documentary, “Break the Stage” IIRC. Bummer that there’s no official release of the song on streaming services

I have watched this perfomance SO MANY times...and everytime I am amazed how freaking good it is. The amount of talent these 7 men have is crazy!! After so many years I still can't listen to Spring Day without crying. As soon as Hobi starts singing, tears come running out. This was amazing. The band just SLAUGHTERED that, especially the guitar, bass and drums. They sounded wonderful, and I'm so amused at how the dancers especially couldn't stay seated. "Spring Day" is hard to hear - always brings tears - but in that context, it was perfect.

Another amazing performance. Their voices are so clear and beautiful. The band just crushed it. I love how they just can’t sit still even while sitting down. I can’t pick a favourite but like you, Spring Day brings me to tears every time, especially since this was their way of comforting us during the pandemic. The fashion is definitely from Dynamite. I rocked a similar suit that Hobi’s wearing with high platform shoes in 1973/74. I looked like a flaming Pumpkin 🎃 I think, lol 😂. Ah to be 17 again. Great reaction John. 🙏💜🇨🇦

Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. I can't believe I'm actually watching a video you posted the same day! I discovered you when you interviewed WYG2S and have been busy binging your videos. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your genuine reactions, musical insights as a musician yourself, as well as thoughtful and provoking insights into the lyrics. This is an amazing community you've created with the ARMY Bots (adorable name), and hopefully I can catch one of your Lives someday. What you and Taylor said about ARMY finding their community when they're surrounded by other ARMYs is so true. You have a friend in ARMY! Never forget that. No one understands me either (I'm 62 yrs old) but I find that every once in a while, I run across ARMY somewhere. When I bought a new computer keyboard, I got one that lights different colors. I said to the sales girl that I would probably keep it on purple for BTS. She said, "omg, are you army?!". We talked for about 5 more minutes, about our favorite videos, Run BTS, etc. Keep you chin up, your heart open and remember you are appreciated!

This tiny desk concert aired about a month after Dynamite was released. Maybe a little less than that. This was September, and Dynamite was released August 21, 2020 (I remember cause it was my daughter’s birthday). So it was in the midst of the pandemic, and everything had to be done remotely. BTS was just trying to keep their spirits up by keeping ARMY’s spirits up, and they were using the song dynamite to do it. So there was a lot of disco themed stuff for a couple of months until the BE album was released in November.

Dear class of 2020 is another one to watch. They each speak (commencements) & perform. MTV unplugged which includes 4 songs I believe -Fix You which you already reacted to. 2021 Festa BTS Room Live. Permission to Dance at the UN is fun. A Butterfly Getaway & Jimmy Fallon/Tonight Show October 2020 where they had a different song each night. These are one of a kind performances from them.

What you said about those "imperfections" in the beginning...I've said it once and I'll say it again... Those PERCEIVED imperfections are what MAKE us perfect! That voice crack when singing? Someone thinks it's cute. That mole you hate? Someone loves it. That misstep in the choreo? Someone thought it was adorable. That scar on your face from hockey? You are someone's hero for playing. The dancers always struggle to sit still I think, hence Jimin and JHope up. Also V. I think JK would have been the same ordinarily but didn’t maybe because he is generally quite central to a lot of songs and this is one take so needed to focus. Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad you liked this one. The clothing is Disco for Dynamite. Dynamite is a disco pop song. it's modern but has some old style in there. They gave the song( Dynamite) to us to give us positive energy during the pandemic and we felt it! Army and other ppl felt it. I have watched so many reactions. It's a beautiful thing to see smiles on ppl's faces and their confusion why they feel happy. =0p About Dynamite they literally decided to do this song on a whim in the middle of the pandemic because they wanted to cheer people up in such hard times! ^^ They're very hardworking, and have spent their careers writing songs about all kinds of things, like all kinds of different kinds of love (they are very adamant about promoting self love) , heartbreak, societal issues, mental health, following your dreams, helping others, and just a lot of cool stuff that's important to them, and things a lot of people are afraid to touch on, that they will dive head first into. They're also all very down to earth, and very funny. ^^ BTS got this song from 2 USA writers who have written for the Jonas brothers. The song, written by David Stewart and Jessica Agombar and produced by Stewart, is an upbeat disco-pop song with elements of funk, soul, and bubblegum pop, and takes influence from 1970s music-it features snapping handclaps, echoing synths, and celebratory horns. They thought the song would fit BTS. BTS liked the song. They tried making it Korean but they liked the Eng version better so they left it as is. No one expected it to blow up. BTS was not trying to win America. They just wanted to comfort army! Love Save Me. It's an old song of theirs and this was a real treat because many Army heard it for the very 1st time. This was a different version to the original. =0] Pls watch Class of 2020. This song and 2 others are performed. It's so beautiful. Save me is a special song. It echo's for me the time I was battling cancer. I told everyone I was fine but inside I was praying to be saved. I wished so much so hard to live. I love this song so so much!!! Also, the partner song to it is I'm Fine. There is a live were u see them both back to back its just wonderful. The choreo is lovely too for both of them. Spring Day is both melancholy and hopeful. I love it too. Since its release it has never left the charts. We call it the Queen! =0] FYI JHope is a sub vocal. He has a lovely voice. JK is a sub rapper. He is dang fast when he wants to be. 0.0 My 1st time hearing Spring Day was on Class of 2020. They did 3 performances. I loved both 2 new songs on 1st listen. It took me a month or more to actually watch the MV lol. Than I watched the explanation and was shoock. Later I watched the 2nd explanation by Italian Army and dang. All the members are actually not fluent in Eng. I bet they practiced hard for this. RM is the only one fluent. JK is the 2nd best at Eng because he is learning it and does a lot of covers. The rest improved but they still have a ways to go, lol. I always have a good time listening to this. JK is the main singer for a reason he steady af! JK can harmonize with any member perfectly. He so cool. Jimin sounded like an angel! They all killed it. Dynamite was given to Army during pandemic to give us energy, Save Me they gave to us because we are all struggling and need to be saved and they acknowledge this with this song, UwU, and Spring Day gives us hope but also lets us know that we lost ppl at this time and we some of us are still in shock and grieving. Perfect song selection! I expected nothing less from them. Kings! This is why we have Tiny Desk Concert Army! When I watched this live I cried. They touched my heart with their caring. They missed us so much and we them. I hope they do another Tiny Desk i think that's a goal. Save me was new for me when i watched this the 1st time. I've been following you for a while now and really enjoy all of your BTS reactions. This is one of my absolute favorites and I get as excited as you do for the songs that they chose. I don't have anyone in my daily life that enjoys BTS like I do and I really appreciate having you on KZbin to watch. Makes me feel a little less alone in my Army journey

This was done in SKorea during the covid pandemic because they couldnt get over to USA to do a concert. In their own studio with their live band.

My favorite songs were Dynamite and Spring Day though I love all 3, I think those 2 are the opposite of one another
