Yup. I've watched every single minute of this restore. It's not 1am and time to get to sleep. Journey looks absolutely amazing. It would be nice to see it side by side with how it was before you started. What a great job, it's been thoroughly entertaining. Thanks John.

WOW JOHN Just wow, I've watched all your restore videos over the years but this journey restore has hands down been the best ever. This has truly been a journey from start to finish and it's been a pleasure watching you restore the journey cab, I love your video style it truly felt like I was part of the action and I was standing right next to you restoring the cab. It's people like you that makes KZbin so great. But now the journey is over, I feel a little down but I know there will be another great restore in the future. So from me and I know I speak for many of your KZbin followers Thanks John, it's truly been a pleasure watching you restore this cabinet.

Dude, how could you ever top this series? I started watching in late July but binged the first several episodes and thought there was no way you could pull it off and get that old shoddy cabinet looking like a 1984 (I think) Journey cabinet. But you managed to pull it off better than I ever could've imagined. I'm literally speechless, that thing looks beautiful.

Got into the hobby big time about 2 years ago and subscribed to your channel about a year ago. Got into the podcasts a few months back (Actually went back to re-listen to a few old episodes this week while working and almost pissed myself laughing hearing you and Joe commenting on how EASY the paint job would be on this!) I'm one of the fools who actually watched these vids through... Never been so relieved to see a restore finished. Awesome job John. Not one of my favorite games, but that artwork is ~Amazin~. I just marathon watched this, and I'm amazed in how it turned out. It is like new. The holes from the lock bar that you filled in are 100% gone. It really looks like you got it from Bally Midway. One of the things that make your restore series great, don´t get me wrong because you clearly know what you are doing, but sometimes you venture into uncharted territory and occasionally make misstakes and we get to go along for that as well and that is so awesome! I don´t have an arcademachine of my own but I played a lot of them back in the day. I recently started a project to build a mame cabinet but thats on hold for the winter but when I was searching youtube for tips about that I found your channel so when most of my friends eagerly waits for the next episode of walking dead I cannot wait for the next episode on John´s Arcade!

Nice restoration job and a lot of painting and sanding for you. For your next project you might want to get a sprayer gun, makes painting so much easier. Rolling such surfaces is a pain. But great seeing your learning curve in the cabinet restoration. And the result is great. Only thing though: on the the sides on the inside should have been in the same blue as the outside as in the original cabinet. I am pretty sure it was not black. The color of the blue and molding is spot on, like it looked when the game was new (it darkened a bit over time) - so you made the perfect color choice with the blue and the molding seems also spot on. Looking forward you your next big restoration project.

What a long strange trip it's been. That Journey turned out amazing, great job as always, John! When I stumbled across your channel less than a year ago, you reignited my love of classic arcade games,,,. Now I've owned 5 arcade games and am hopelessly addicted (Sunset Riders, Double Dragon 2, NFL Blitz 99, Neo Geo Gold 2 slot and Neo Geo big red 6 slot) It's all YOUR fault! ;) Your videos are informative as they are entertaining, love the on camera stuff at the end too. Can't wait to see what's next for John's Arcade!

Once again excellent video. Have been taking notes for my upcoming restoration, so really appreciate all of this. Also, your cabinet turned out top-notch! Better than some of the brand new cabinets out there!

I was expecting the can of Brown Paint to be sitting on that table in the end. Wished you guys settled your differences with beer.
