Excelente sus videos. Compre un jonhnson 15hp 1978 funciona bien y el motor muy cuidado. Sólo tengo problema en calibrar ralenti. No consigo manual de ese motor😢. Gracias por sus videos.

Thank you for all the videos about Johnson motors. I just bought a jon boat with 1992 15 hp Johnson short- but I was wondering if I could email you a video and maybe you could help me figure it out. Thank you

Hey I have fixed my motor because of you. Thank you. Rebuilt carb, new cam roller and adjusted linkage. The needle valve gasket basically fell apart when I pulled it out. So thank you for everything!! You never mentioned your name

Good job on the wiring! Is that the correct fuel pump for the engine? The fuel outlet does not look correctly oriented....That in itself is no big deal, but proper pump hsg orientation can be critical...Look for a tab/arrow saying "up"... What was causing the mag plate to be stiff? I like your little inch pound torque wrench! Those original style carbs were the best for sure...Simple, reliable, and easy to service. Yeah, the tin bowls were prone to rusting, but that was no big deal to replace. Things really went to hell in the 80s when we introduced the plastic bowl/cover carbs...
@OmFishing5 жыл бұрын
I am going to check on the fuel pump. I took it off the other motor I got the crank and piston from. I believe you are right about this motor being under water. Fuel pump full of rust. The mag plate I took back off and shined up the inside ring and put the proper grease on it and it was much better, Thanks for bringing that to my attention. The next video we should be able to hear it run. I have a lower unit I am going to put on just to hear it run. The lower unit I took off needs all new seals and water pump. Keep watching and feel free to point me in the right direction.

@@OmFishing great video but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I’m having trouble determining it I have a 9.9 motor with a 15hp hood. I ordered a Johnson carb rebuild kit and it came with a 51 size main jet. I’m wondering if it’s the 9.9 carb that the size 51 high speed jet would mess the whole system up or if I can adjust it somehow. Either way I ordered the 9.9 orifice jet size 38 to see if it makes a difference. It just doesn’t seem that I’m getting enough power for even a 9.9

Did the cam roller on this motor have the adjustment screw? I have the same throttle plate and my cam roller doesn’t have an adjustment screw on the roller

"I've got carbs just sitting around all rebuilt", hey OM any chance you've got a 15hp carb for a 1990 9.9 evinrude that I could buy off of you shipped to NJ?
