I was so excited for you to play this game, but I watched Dawko play it first so I got drunk on lore. Watching you made the critical thinking cap come back on though, which effectively ripped this game apart. It really isn’t clear why Springtrap is just playing along as dad, however creepy it is to think your dad is stuck in the past somewhere. Having some sort of “doomsday” device to pressure you into finding your dad before 5 days is up would have been nice, as well as more explanation as to who he is and what’s going on. That said, the art direction is stellar and I hope we get more games in this style! Still glad you played it, even if I’m a bit less enthused about it now. That said, as much as Security Breach was a mess and very unbelievable, I still absolutely ADORE it. I think the nostalgia glasses are just glued to my head because it’s just a big love letter to being a kid for me. Maybe having COVID when it came out did a real number on my sanity too, but Glamrock Freddy calling me a superstar while I was a contagious mess exiled to certain rooms of my home…he’s got a special place in my heart forever, that big goober.
@indigo...2 ай бұрын
i know you probably dgaf but in case you are curious: 'Springtrap' in this case is actually the Yellow Rabbit or the Creature. This is because the ball pit most likely isn't a time travel device, but a sort of memory pool thing. So like, Oswald jumps in and the memory of Afton's murders basically cause Oswald to hallucinate/experience the memory of the event in the pit instead of going to the literal past. The Yellow Rabbit is a 'negative emotion energy' (Agony) creature based on ppl's memories and pain of the event, and it's able to exist outside of the pit bc the power of this energy persists once ppl interact with the pit, kinda. Also this game is based off of the first fnaf short story Into the Pit, but the plot and sequences of the game are honestly pretty different (only the larger story beats are the same tbh)

John just snarking on this game with the "watch out, guys, the psychological horror" at the really boring flip from teacher to Springtrap and "That's the most exciting thing that's happened in this video!" about his light falling LMAO. I say "really boring flip" because it was technically unexpected, but it was just like "oh. Springtrap is there now all of a sudden. ok" instead of being anything jarring or jumpscare-y. This game feels very... meandering? with the series of fetch quests and "hide from Springtrap DURING a fetch quest".
@ShyGuyPal1022 ай бұрын
Ah yeah, I was let down we didn't go to the Library or Factory. I agree on the gameplay being repetitive and lots of fetch quests. I don't mind it, but as a fun and short FNAF game? I like to imagine that Springtrap's plan got completely sidetracked because he can't understand kids these days™ and there's no Blockbuster. Also, I figured Afton would've given Oswald's dad back around the third time the kid shows up and frees his victims. He can keep the dad or murder children, but he can't do both.

For a game I thought was going to be the classic FNAF mechanics but at home instead of a pizzeria, only to not be that, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. I just wish it felt like something at all; it doesn't feel as rewarding as it should be but I'm still very impressed by the art and music. Not bad, just not the show stopper I'd hoped for with such a massive franchise to live up to. I'm sure fans of the books will have more to enjoy with this one.

hmm interesting game. Now I'm curious how the book tells this story, mostly because I'm really baffled by some of the gameplay decisions they made. Like, was there a story reason that they made the adventure elements this repetetive? In general it feels like the puzzles were kind of tagged onto the game to make it longer, rather than properly integrated into the story...They weren't exactly clever either. 😥 Either the character tells you exactly what you need and you just have to figure out where to find it, or the solution is kind of nonsensical, like the plastic hammer. Though if the puzzles were longer, they'd definitely have to make the emenies less annoying to deal with. If I made this game I'd spawn the enemies at specific intervals to chase the player until they lose them again, and not have them roam around at all times, which would also allow for longer and more involved puzzles. Though I'm sure there's other people who wished that the devs cut the puzzles altogether and made the game survival only haha Either way, still cool that they tried to make a pixelart adventure horror at all, and I hope they can improve on their concept and make more games like this in the future! The animations were really neat.

As someone who actually really liked some of the Fazbear Frights books, Into The Pit was a very fun and interesting adaptation. If they decided to adapt more of the books into games(like some of the mini games seem to imply), I hope all of them are given a similar amount of care as this game was given. Seriously. Incredibly bland game, pretty boring and devoid of any real plot. There is zero explanation of what Springtrap was doing, which didn't really make any sense. Why take the dad? Why go home with the kid? Why do nothing to the kid unless he was outside his room at night? Why not letting him go out of the house and not letting him get out of the pizzeria in the past? It all just feels like an excuse to make chase sequences happen. Maybe the books shed light on this, I don't know and I don't really care to find out. The game should make sense on its own. If I need to go look up pretty much everything from outside sources for a piece of media to make the slightest of sense , then it is bad storytelling.

I saw the first part of this when you posted and just put off seeing the end until now because I knew it wouldn't get better. What an unbelievably lackluster game. It could've been so much better but once the father was overtaken by Springtrap and then...nothing happened, all of the tension just went out never came back. I don't understand the point of this game, and it was a slog with all its inane fetch quest busywork. The going back and forth in time through the gross ball pit was something but ugh, what a waste. Your gameplay is always fun, though. I always really like watching you play because you're thorough and play the way you like to play, rather than how people think you should. That alone makes boring games worth sitting through :)

its such a boring game, i was so ready for it to be so much more interesting due to the art style. the location should have been limited to just one unless they could really manage to keep the atmosphere and gameplay interesting but the school should have definitely been cut imo. they should have dropped their concern for the title and spread it across however many nights that benefited the story and it would have been nice if oswald had a little bit more of a personality or maybe a more likeable personality rather. he feels like a small adult, not a kid...at least the game didn't feel like an endless eternal boring loop like security breach

This game is based on the FNAF novel story "Into The Pit" as others have already pointed out. 2. The entity/manifestation/creature isn't exactly William Afton/Springtrap(there's no corpse inside). Pit Spring Bonnie is kind of what the murderer looked to its young victims: A monster with the outter shell/suit/appearance of a yellow rabbit. Their agony/fear/anger seemed to manifestate like this.
