The 90s are unique in that there are 2 types of alternative rock that sprouted out of that decade. The heavier, grungy type which has the likes of Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, then there's this type of easy-listening alternative rock. Now 2 songs embody that 2nd alternative rock type. Toad The Wet Sprocket's "All I Want", and Gin Blossoms' "Hey Jealousy. Listening to any of those 2 songs instantly flashes me back to the early 90s. Good times man. I'm so proud to be a 90s kid

The greatest decade in music ever, The Gin Blossoms always manage to take me back to better times. If I could go back and just eternity in one decade it would be 1990 to 1999, I miss those years and the sounds of a generation. AIC, Better Than Ezra, Third Eye Blind, Dinosaur Jr., Nirvana, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Bush, Candle Box, Sonic Youth, Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, Janes Addiction, Days of the New. Best sounding decade ever. Like Bruce Springsteen said, "Real bands are made primarily from neighborhood, from a real time and a real place that exists for a little while and then it changes and it's gone forever".
