Even as a gay man, I’ll admit I misunderstood JVN as a person when I first started watching Queer Eye. He has shown me so much about what it means to be a man, but even to be gender non-conforming and that it’s not scary at all! The fact he can rock a beard, skirt, heels, shirt, and a ponytail is absolutely AMAZING! If you’re reading this Johnathan, you look AMAZING! Keep it up! You’re an example to us all!

No. He's a race/gender hustler making stuff up that it's a dangerous world for transgenders right now. The facts don't add up. If you believe 18 Transpeople have been murdered this year, that's literally 0.00000005% of the population. The homicide rate for men is almost 4% and the homicide rate for women is 1%. Sounds like they're pretty safe overall.

@@serious7179 I've seen memes that supposedly quote Sanger discussing eugenics in the black community. I've read the actual letter the "quote" is taken from and it says the opposite. Here is a Twitter thread I found debunking the basic meme while quoting the letter. twitter.com/KevinMKruse/status/1182731694350196736?s=20 As for her view on "eugenics" - neither of us are well read on Sanger's views on this so we shouldn't form strong opinions. My impression is it is more nuanced than her critics give her credit for, and I bet many of the far right wingers who use her to bash PP would actually agree with many of her positions. Regardless, Sanger's views shouldn't be a determining factor for PP funding.

It's not an automatic death sentence like it was in the 80s/90s, but it still comes with a lot of issues. My partner of 15 years passed way two years ago from HPV related throat cancer that spread to his lungs. He was an ID doc that specialized in HIV. He had HIV. When you get cancer or really any illness, it complicates treatment and your survival rate lowers dramatically. Unfortunately, people think that once when you get HIV, that you just take pills and you're good to go into old age like everybody else. That's not the case. Plus we don't know the long-term consequences of these drugs. There's a reason why Atripla etc are no longer used. It's a trade off. PreP comes with it potential long term risks as many have already found out with Atripla. It's not as simple as it's not a death sentence and you'll die of a heart attack/cancer like everybody else. It can cut decades off your life even on the drugs.

Bagrilla Jenkins Lol The complaints America has with the Criminal-in-Chief & his White Nationalist Cult of Hatriots goes farther than not just liking a differing opinion. Stealing & caging little brown babies at the border, taking away a woman’s ability to make decisions over her body, the stealing of a Supreme Court Justice who is poised to take away the rights of LGBT, the breaking of our laws, violating the Constitution that requires Congressional Oversight, the bitchslapping of allies while kissing up to murderous dictators, the breaking of treaties, his personal War on Global Trade,... I could go on, & on, (& you KNOW it) but unlike Agolf Twitler I will spare you. Just be aware that this disagreement isn’t just over some minor differences of opinion. Benedict Donald is an existential threat to not only America, but to the entire world (if you doubt that, just ask your neighborhood Kurd) *Country over Party. Country over Cult.* 🇺🇸 *NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW* 🗽

@mywhorled 4 жыл бұрын
@@dafttool This is easy. Obama started separating children, Trump ended it. Were you crying about it back then? It's rhetorical, I already know you weren't. Making decisions over HER body is one thing, making decisions whether a baby is murdered or not for convenience is another. Kavanaugh was extensively investigated 7 times, more than any justice in history, and not one shred of proof to hearsay was established. That's not theft of a justice, not to mention he's more moderate on abortion and lgbt than people understand because they don't listen. I have a list of 78 times Obama broke the law. Would you like to see it? Congressional oversight has been utilized since before Trump took office, more than any president in history. HIS ENTIRE TERM! Neverending investigation is loathsome and will get him reelected, guaranteed. Even our allies have been taking advantage of our generosity for decades, and rectification is needed. Kissing up to dictators is called diplomacy. It's a tactic to prevent WW3. We broke no treaty. We left the Paris climate treaty because of it's unfairness. You know like allowing China to build coal fired plants for the next 12 years while we have to shut ours down, even though we were exceeding CO2 reductions more than any other country and China was ignoring them completely. That's just one example of how ridiculous the demand against us was. And Iran wasn't following their treaty. They continued enrichment and didn't allow inspectors into certain areas. As for trade, why should we pay more in tariffs? Why not free and balanced like everyone else does it? China would not abide says numerous world powers. Therefore tariffs for them. Lastly, both the Kurds and Turks are allies. We pulled 100 troops. 100 soldiers upsets the balance of power for them? They have been warring for centuries. This is not our fight. We defended the kurds against ISIS, not Turkey. Just because they hate each other, it's not our business. Trump made a promise to stop the endless war, bring troops home, and he's fulfilling it. He hasn't started any war. Obama racked up 5. Why has the left become so warmongering? 20 years ago it was the opposite, all the way back as far as I can think. I can refute your claims all day. Your hate blinds you to the truth.
@mywhorled
@mywhorled 4 жыл бұрын
@@dafttool in addition, I voted for Obama once. Upon reflection I regret it. I didn't vote for Trump, but I will. As a moderate, I would rather have Tulsi but the DNC is rigged. Since the left has gone loco and abandoned us in the middle in favor of free everything for illegals, they reap what they sow. Trump will be reelected, even after the house impeaches him. It's the hate of the left for the middle class white working man that is their demise. As Bill Maher said quoting a study, nobody hates their own kind more than the white liberal.
@dafttool
@dafttool 4 жыл бұрын
Bagrilla Jenkins So many lies in your post (forgive me if I miss a few, the lack of addressing anything will NOT be an admission of any sort) First & foremost, Obama wasn’t STEALING children & caging them. Obama kept families together. Trump IS STEALING (he hasn’t stopped) children from their families, & caging them, “losing” THOUSANDS in the process (due to bureaucratic incompetence & inhumane indifference; THOUSANDS being sexually assaulted by government personnel according Trump’s own numbers). Obama deported twice the number of people as Trump, while Trump has instead been packing people into internment camps like sardines, breaking our own laws against the mistreatment of prisoners & denying them their Due Process, while violating international laws on asylum seekers. America is the ONLY country no longer signed onto the Paris Accords. Trump ripped up TPP, & he ripped up the Nuclear Treaty with Russia. Trump is threatening to rip up NATO accords. He has ripped up NAFTA. Iran WAS following the Iran Treaty, which Europe, China & Russia were also signed onto (Trump wanted additional things added to the treaty, so he ripped up the old one. That’s NOT how you get a new treaty) His War on Global Trade now has cost the American Farmers so badly, he now has given them a (socialist) bailout that is twice what we did to the Auto industry after the Great Recession (which they paid back; the farmers won’t be paying their bailouts back). Foreclosures & farmer suicides are skyrocketing, the corporate farmers getting the bulk of the payouts while average farmers are being crushed. Meanwhile, those tariffs are paid by Americans, a giant tax on consumers. The stealing of the Supreme Court Seat has nothing to do with Kegger Kav’s date rape accusations (btw, a person claiming themself as a victim is NOT hearsay, but direct witness evidence) The stealing of Garland’s seat was done before Kegger Kav. (Nice conflation there on your part.) Article One of the Constitution says that the President MUST submit to Congressional Oversight. Trump has refused throughout (adding to his impeachment charges). You want MY list of Trump’s crimes? I bet you would be astonished on just how long & extensive it is. (You spared me yours so I will spare you mine). You won’t be able to vote for Trump. He is going to be removed, just like Nixon was when the GOP Senate told him to go. (Neither of us know for sure on that, so 🍿 for all & enjoy) *The Emperor With No Clothes* is failing in fabulous fashion, His enabling cultists blind to the naked truth before them

@alexxhristova
@alexxhristova 4 жыл бұрын
@@originaldylanbaxter okay, so on paper queer eye is about making over people. in reality, though, i dare you to watch an episode, (really, any episode) without crying. these men change lives. the people that they help are down, desperately need change, need a push to turn their lives around. they helped a gay guy come out to the only family he had left; two sisters with their business, which was their only source of income; a "tomboy" woman see herself for the BEAUTIFUL woman that she is and to not feel "less feminine" than her friends; a gay girl that had been thrown out of her house when she was 15yo and left to fend for herself; teacher and a coach that have spent the last 30 years of their lives dedicated to their students and taking little to no time for themselves and their families; a father who was contemplating suicide at one point, because he was severely struggling with depression; a guy who got shot in the spine several years prior and had since then turned his life around by trying to help other at risk youth to not go down the same road he had and so so so so many more. like, that show will simultaneously make you feel better about the world and make you cry and make you appreciate all you have, or make you sad about all you don't have, but wish you did and make you want to reach through the screen and just hug people. i really feel like just hugging people after i watch it. so yeah, it's not just a show about making people over.
