We installed a regular house deadbolt lock on our truck camper it’s a lot nicer and more secure than those crappy locks they put on campers. Might want to look into that when changing your lock! Glad you were still able to get in!

As crazy as it sounds, nonstop sunshine takes a toll on you too. I have lived in Florida my whole life, and I am never happier than when we have a cool rainy day! Enjoy the warmth and sun!

I’m from Southern California and I love rainy days too as we get so few of them. I love visiting places with seasons as well since, we only have basically two haha. Blazing summer, and mild winter.

Agreed. Oregon actually gets the perfect amount of sun and rain. Washington too perhaps but it rains more. East coast is all over the place with weather.

Nice rig! those early Tundra's are great trucks and the rear differential air bags are so worth it. I put them on my truck pop-up camper set up and not only do they smooth out and level the ride they help with any sway of the weight which is so much safer. Enjoy the Sunshine I went to High School in Keizer OR so I know about the PNW's dreary rainy winters.

You can get a hole cut into the camper from the front seat. Theres places that will do that for people. Then you could just crawl in from the fornt seat not having to go outside to get in Its safer too in case someone tries to bother you you can get away easier.

You can still crawl through the wrong window if you’re still tall and thin. Not fat. Oregon actually gets the perfect amount of sun and rain. Washington too perhaps but it rains more. South gets too much sun. North like Canada and Alaska gets too much snow. East coast is all over the place with weather.

Jonathan the Slumber Queen has great bones to her now just fix the lock, fix the handle, reseal the roof check the comments lots of great tips and oh yeah fix your water tank and think you mentioned you still are some electrical problems in the camper. So you are pretty handy so fix the Queen check out the key & lock shop by your home to help you with your keys and latch. Good Luck with the Queen don't give up on her there's lots of vendors in L.A. plus there's always Camping world in Valencia off the I-5 lots of good information there on how to fix the Queen. ✌out from Pasadena. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and Stay Positive.

When I lived in an apartment, I've locked myself out countless many times. Luckily I lived on the first floor and always had my shower window opened. You can imagine what I had to do to get up to the high window and fall into my bathtub. Totally get how this feels! Thanks to your past self!

The Queen maybe leaking because it's stressed by the tie downs. The camper has to sit on the bed rails. You have it above so when it's tied down it's pulling the corners without any resistance. Its stretching the frame of the camper. Just a thought. 😁

Jonathon, a suggestion regarding sealing up your camper: read about the advantages and disadvantages of using silicone vs using something like Dicor or Proflex. I've used both Proflex and Dicor for years on my RV. Good results with both.

Yes when we bought our truck camper is was sealed with silicone and it took FOREVER to remove it all. Best to use the ones you recommended to make it easier on yourself if you need to reseal in the future!

When I was a kid, my dad worked in the mines so we did a lot of traveling, sometimes we had to camp for a bit to get our trailer and everything set up for a while at Dad’s new job. That’s where I get most of my need for traveling and adventures… you are living it for me, and I get the excitement through your adventures. I love it and thank you. Now, been married over 30 years and I can honestly tell you, he is a video game guy and no adventures.. Sucks really.
