The fear for me of jumping into another relationship too quickly is getting entangled with another narcissist. Hands-down the worst experience of my life. Anyone that's been through narcissistic abuse will agree that it changes you forever.

Apparently one needs to be deprogrammed and go through intensive heave trauma therapy to even have a chance after such experience. Most times people end up either rushing back into another narcissistic situation or so burned they stay emotionally uninvolved either getting into a strange situationship or just stay away from relationships altogether and alienate. Healing after narc abuse is necessary or else one carries it around to everything else.

Hi Johnathan, I am 57 today, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness in 2016, with a year to live, I don't act or look ill these days, I'm very active, and attractive, adventurous and avery positive person, I work hard, and have a healthy diet, and a lot of love to give. I'm sure that's why I'm still alive LOL , but I'm not sure how to go about finding a prospective husband to live my life with,. I try to hide my illness, until they get to know who I am first, but still in fear that they will go the other direction. PS, I don't look at my present or my future as.... I am dying,! I look at it as, I am living! 😁

I'm a woman and I have a hard time receiving love, but the paradox is that I crave it more than anything in the world. A man who fights every good shining thing about you that drew him to you in the first place ~ is wrestling with his own issues and self worth. And, over time, the closer he gets to your beautiful bright spirit, the more he sees and is frustrated and angered about what he lacks. It's called projection. Either he deals with it, or he stays sorrowful ~ and becomes angrier over time at you for choosing not only his strengths, but especially his broken-ness. No one can thrive in pity due to what's lacking. No one can fix it, but himself.

For sure, before telling someone you “like” them, you must really mean it. And if you really like someone, it is so important to still remain unattached about the person until you figure out how much you could really like or dislike everything or the most important aspects about them. Before you could say you like someone, the whole process involves getting past figuring out if the person is someone you can even trust, that is a big segment, values you agree with (they don’t have values that freak you out).

Great and timely show today Jonathan! I'm gaining confidence in radical honesty. Also wanted to add that we put too much expectation on approaching men to "flirt." I used to be so shy, but after managing conferences I became very accustomed to speaking with loads of people I don't know. Just go up to the guy and talk like he's your brother. You'll know right away if he wants to continue talking. And if not, no worries. You didn't lose anything by speaking to a cute man. 😉 I think some of us were taught not to be desperate and chase. But I've seen women who go after what they want, get it! Just don't be a stalker 😂

I was in security and there was someone performing that I had to check in at his own performance , and thought he was married like 21 yrs ago, but never was, he looked like he was married because of the way he carries himself as so independent, over the years watched videos of this artist, but compared him to how three people look and carry themselves two being celebrities a COUNTRY MUSIC Star and a movie star. I literally shared with him that he could do a HALLMARK FILM of his life and bringing out his songs into an live experience. Now we are sharing things of a future, I just kept shaking my head over how me and him have in common being the oldest being into moving around and love beaches and tropical places so much, I really was not into hanging out with one bf he really never dated females long terms in school. It's wild how much he now thinks of me, I told him that I kissed Mickey Gilley and my mind thinks of him carrying himself much like Mickey Gilley. If I tell too much of this people will put too much into and realize how he is and obviously know who exactly he is, and it's not suppose to be revealed just yet.

Been recently dating a new person and tried the I like you and it was super nice to hear it back. 👍 But I don't think I could have gotten here without healing my past. I am an empath and those narcissists like me. The last person I dated was one, my ex husband was one, my continuous picking of the wrong guy had me look into why. I took an 8 week class on narcissism and codependency that helped me see what to look for... the terms and tools to assist me. I'm free! I finally got the self awareness and self love to not draw in that kind of person anymore. I took time to heal, year and half of no dating. Met this man through common friends, it's going nice and slow, no love bombing and it feels much different than before. Thanks for the tips!

“ I like you”, means I’m not really attracted to you. Just want to be casual friends. Men and women can carry toxicities including narcissism, ptsd, adhd and others. Yes. For me, ten years in and out of a toxic relationship. The last year and a half i have been healing and in transformation. Loving myself and creating authentic boundaries to separate from this toxic, non committal relationship that is extremely one sided.

Back in the 90s l had the sensation of falling into a man's eyes. I was weightless there was no fear. The crush was mutual but he was committed to someone else and stayed with her. I respected that. So a physical response to someone does not mean that much. If you plan a life together you do need to be comfortable with each other. As you explore compatibility, honesty is the key. I missed the live but thanks for another great video. I live in NYC and there are tons of men but finding the right fit for me personally is the challenge. I know many single women in NYC who are frustrated with the singles scene. So much dysfunction. I also know so many women who settled and married men for their financial status and lavish lifestyle - they could care less if their husband has affairs, treats them badly, etc. It is sad honestly. Hard to find a man willing to go the distance with you and the divorce rate is so HIGH - I think this is why people remain single.

@@JonathonAslay do you think people really choose to be single? As I have said it before in some of your previous videos, this is why women put up with bad behavior because we are programmed to accept this and there are more single women in the world then men so we have less options then men. I would imagine that dating is California is much different in New York - people aren't as laid back you guys. New Yorkers are intense - I am being radically honest! James Gardner reminds me of my Dad, and his name is Sonny just like Gardner was named Sonny too, but my dad's side of the family was really like the notebook with my grandma having Alzheimer's, after my grandpa died of cherry cement poisoning had cancer spread to his back, drowned in his blood being inside his lungs. My grandma was calling his name everywhere, hanging all the clothes from the closet in her and my grandpa's bedroom our on the fence just a lot of reminders of my dad's side of the family compared to the movie The Notebook makes me want to remember my life as that very same way with someone to be with for the rest of my life , no other way.

I used to have MCS. You should consider investing a chemical and heavy metal detox. Often MCS is caused by toxin overload. Our soap, shampoos, lotions, candles, air wick, laundry detergent, hairspray, cleaning chemicals, etc. all build up and eventually our bodies say enough is enough. I was healed of it this way.

I have sensitivity for chemicals/ perfume too and not even my own family, my parents understand/ accept it. Luckily most guys I date are more understanding than my parents ☺

I dated a guy a few years ago and I shared a part of my past . He broke up with just this past month he has reached out to me. He has helped me with small things I needed in the house. I did give him money for helping me. He did come over after I got out of the hospital. And spent a couple hours here with me. But I feel like there's something going on feels like he's ghosting me half the time. He doesn't return tex.

Question: I find many people have trouble loving themselves based on the types of low vibrational/toxic relationships they have experienced. What is the best encouragement one can give when that person isn't even there yet? So what's the lead in for them that allows them to begin to evaluate?

Cologne or perfume is fine when not too much but natural 'sexual' body odor is the best when selecting a true partner.

Hi Jonathon thank you for very insightful answers and advice. I like that you are so real no pretending or know it all type of guy , but you are wise and knowledgeable. I appreciate your advice and mostly your honesty. One of the things that really puts me off is lies and deceit. I also appreciate the respect you show to everyone. Communication and being real is important factors yes I like that about you.

I like you Jonathon- you just get better and better. I like you!! One of your best talks. The Note Book- I loved that movie too. True love. I get teary o all those things too. You are a beautiful human. I wish I was younger as we are perfect together. You a such a gem.❤ On another note, I got back with this guy I was on/off for 6 years. Initially limerance in the 4 catch up meets, however I used this time to heal from upsets when he ghosted me. Surpriseingly he was happy to also discuss. I thought great! Then we had a big day out, ending up in bed yet again but!!!! I queried him over a text about a song he loved. A different drum- Linda Ronstandt…. I said are you suggesting something through this song. Well he got irritated and said I just like the song and this is what I cannot stand how you make assumptions. So now I see if he hates that then he is not accepting me as me. I was stupid to assume etc. Now, I no longer want to see him because if he can’t accept me he can never really like me. He has intolerance… I just let him blow off and think that’s him… still like him wArts and all. So this has been really an eye opener….. he will never change and our relationship has no point. Yet I nursed him through prostate cancer… but i know he would not do as much for me. It says a lot, so I am happy to put him behind me and move on. xx

Raises my hand I have. It is frustrating when it is all they do. They get upset with a person when you try to get them to think about other things more important in the long run. I agree with the building of the deep roots of trust many will not even work on it. Yes! An emotionally available or grown-up man. A 'real man' seems to be thrown about quit a lot anymore. I feel has negative affect on men in general. I had guys like me on the dating sites. I have asked why they liked me. Some answer and others don't. I am a generator on the human design. I wait for the opportunity to show itself and I make a decision then. Oddly I have done this all my life. I try anything else and it never works out. lol Don't feel bad about the cologne and perfume thing. I am sensitive also and always have been, especially when people wear a lot and it is super strong smell.

I like that it’s about like connecting and laughing, and having the same sense of humor. It’s so big for me it’s about wanting to hang pictures on the wall together. It’s about wanting to watch the same type of movies together. It’s about not saying to me oh, how dare you? That was my heart and money after me spending 20 years with him like and getting beaten and cheated on and fed breadcrumbs, basically knowing bedbugs and mice and cockroaches for the first time when the guy doesn’t even do drugs. It’s about being rejected by his family that he brought up from Perú for years, including, and to this day it’s about him going to his ex-wife’s house as if they’re still married for every single birthday party and every single holiday still it’s about the fact that he made me think that my infant son was going to be brought up by a fine stepfather because he acted the part and bought diapers. What woman wouldn’t want that type of thing he would give me money without me, asking him to force me to take money. I didn’t know he was married then he divorce is eight days later he’s kicking me in the back of the legs in the place that we rent the Buffay, open, elderly persons, house and throwing strawberries, and throwing me into the shower, me slipping, and do it on the strawberries, and telling me to clean my Effen mess up like you gain my trust For four years and this is what you do to me? I think if I forget, I forget I forgive and then I find out years later he’s cheating on me and I’m doing the best I ever had in my life? No smoking no drinking no drugs. Nothing kill me. We all grow up. You know at the age of 39 now I’m 47 but I still have people looking at me. But they only want to use me for my vagina and my mouth off most likely my butt because they’re all disgusting pigs, I don’t care what anyone says. If you are into the Internet, you’ve seen the porn and you will be addicted to it specially, if you’re a man and you are single and then you’ll expect your woman to really enjoy being choked by here you know what are you kidding me man? You really believe this in your heart of hearts? Or that you need mental help And then you get mad that a woman turns gay yeah exactly turns gay when they say I was born this way maybe they were but I don’t think I was. I just would rather be with a beautiful woman than an ugly cheating gross beer belly just disgusting man farting bad breath just absolutely disgusting. Just wants to stick the dick in me it’s it’s absolutely sickening to me. All they want to do is use me and then be on dating sites and have 2000 filtered models on their Facebook account not having me on it saying that it’s because, he didn’t want to be associated with the very person that he cheated on me with and spend paid rent like she had a girlfriend like this is just insane. I can’t believe it I can’t get out. He just ruined my credit again by taking all the money out of his pension, he already spent 200 grand all alone when he’s with his Annuity union carpenter all alone in a year I got a Lexus out of it. It was 5000. He crashed it after gambling now there’s a car payment no I’m working two jobs at 47. My son’s father died and the reason why I wasn’t with my sons father because he didn’t want to get married, didn’t want the kid to have his last name, and he was the one that pushed me to go and meet this guy because this guy was I’m not gonna get into it OK I just it doesn’t matter if he was an addict this guy that I’m with that I have a separate room but he just doesn’t he he only get a ream of paper that I need for school to print things out if he wants sex and he’s not gonna get it anymore OK I don’t care if it last two minutes which is great because I can’t stand that you are using my vagina for pleasure and you don’t care about my needs you don’t care about my worries you ruined four of my credit cards, and every card was paid For five years quadruple the minimum and never missed a payment all of a sudden capital one Bam so I’m out of 3300 in school and I’m so in debt working my ass off worrying about the car payment worrying about the electricity worrying about the Internet that I need for my job worrying about Carmen Sherance because it’s Doordash and Brenda secondary job worrying about the Internet because I need it for school worrying about everything financially because I just don’t make the cut I don’t make what he used to make. He would make $100,000 a year and one time $200,000 a year because of overtime where did it go? Where did it go? It went to hookers and gambling and I had no idea and now? If there ever was a good sex life because I didn’t know him and I could do no wrong it’s the worst vanilla sex I’ve ever had in my life and I know it’s still in me even at 47 I still get my period and if I could just laugh with someone watch a movie with somebody but I don’t even care really it’s not my desire I just want my son to be happy I could care less about meeting another human being, male or female, I just want to get right with God I want to get right yes I’ll say yes you are. Yes I will see Jesus Christ because he is coming soon. The wrath of God is being poured out on all these people are robots that just don’t get it they don’t want to know and if they do know they don’t care and I can’t wait and I know I just say I might not go to hell but I’m certainly living a hell and it’s all up to me? Will you try being me wanting to escape being on the section 8 waiting list after being in emergency housing for battered women when my son was two years old now he’s going to be 18 in two months. I’ve been on it for 16 freaking Years. Look at my picture. Can you take a guess why? Yes I will be blunt all of you. Yes I will.
