Let's talk about the smile. Burke had all of the attention and was spoiled to the nth degree until JonBenet came along. Not only was the attention that Burke was so used to taken away when JonBenet was born but she was put in the lime light in beauty pageants. Trophies, training, primping, photographs, video, thousands of dollars spent on JonBenet for these pageants. What child would not feel neglected, sooner one who had already started his most formative years as an over-privileged narcissist. Burke's jealousy was completely out of control. Fact: Burke had hit his sister in the face with a golf club. Fact: Burke had a problem with spreading human shit in the bathroom and put a bunch of it in JonBenet's bed. He hated his little sister and wanted her gone so he could have the attention again. Patsy, being a self-absorbed narcissist herself, left those kids unattended in that house on a regular basis. The autopsy reads that JonBenet had old damage to her genitals, but did not show signs that she had ever been fully penetrated. JonBenet had been taken to the doctor 21 times in 1-2 years, at least one time for "vaginitis". Burke killed JonBenet by cracking her over the head with a heavy flashlight. The parents already knew that Burke had damaged her genitals because Patsy left them alone too much and were trying to cover that up. Now that she was dead, the parents knew that an autopsy would reveal that fact. So either Burke or John would be accused of doing that to her. If it was Burke who had damaged her, then John and Patsy would be found guilty for child neglect. John and Patsy had to make it look like an intruder broke in and assaulted and killed JonBenet. And it certainly was easy to blame someone who had seen her in pageants. John and Patsy contrived this ridiculous ruse to cover up for baby boy Burke. They covered for what he did to her sexually, they covered for him hitting her with a golf club, they covered for him smearing shit on her toys and putting it in her bed, and they kept covering for him his entire life. Burke won. Burke got his way. He got his parent's attention back exclusive. Look at him in the interview as a child with the police. Look at him in the videos at JonBenets funeral. Zero remorse. Zero sadness. So back to the smile. That fucked up smirk on his face has NOTHING to do with him being an isolated, awkward young man. That is a smile of feeling "special"...in the lime light. The attention is on "me". Everyone gets to see "me". And it is apparent that this guy still has the mindset of a kid. He has not matured. Watch how his expression changes to serious and even a held back "pissed" when Dr. Phil asks him questions that gets too close to the truth. Toward the end of the interview, he never quite gets back to that giddy expression where he's elated to be having all of this attention that a solidly-developed narcissist craves. He has been so used to mommy and daddy covering for him that he thinks he is perpetually in the clear on all of this. He's conditioned to be that arrogant. You don't fool me, Burke. You killed your little sister, and that shit-eating grin on your face is your selfish, calloused narcissism that is happy to be getting all of the attention with JonBenet out of the way.

I completely agree with you. Everyone keeps saying that he has social anxiety and that's why he is smiling, but if he was so socially inept, why is he doing an interview? I know people personally who have terrible social anxiety and I am pretty sure they'd rather die than go on tv and do an interview. He's obviously a disturbed person who has been ducking his consequences for years.

To me this case was solved, when they brought up the undigested pinapples in jonbenet's stomach. That tells me the killing happened while they're still eating pinapples, therefore it's not an intruder that did this, it's one of the family members. Adding to the fact that Burke has attacked her before viciously with a golf club seals the deal for me that he did it. This time he attacked her with something else, possibly the flash light and he hit her over the head instead. Case solved. Kids attacking each other will progress each time it happened. I've witnessed my own nephews attacked each other. I have to stepped in because one might end up killing the other. That is why his parent try so hard not to involve/include him at all with the investigation, saying he was in his room the whole time, he had nothing to do with any of this.

I do think the Burke did it & I'm sure in more than one form he has paid dearly. Because he was under the age of 10, he could not have been prosecuted in the state of Colorado, but their reputation AND his would have been destroyed. Because they were wealthy enough & smart enough to destroy the investigation, in more ways than one... they managed to mostly protect Burke's reputation. The reason I believe burke is guilty of accidently killing his sister is it is the only theory that makes perfect sense. How easy could it be for a heavy flashlight, swung in anger by a almost 10 yr old, to kill a 6 yr old, if the blow hit the right spot? Very easy. I don't think he meant to kill her, but I think he accidentally did cause her death. The parents tried to cover it, by creating a crime scene, telling lies, using clout, throwing money, & retaining more than a few lawyers. Enviting several friends over to unwittingly help contaminate evidence, was especially brilliant, considering they had just lost their 6 yr old. I excuse the retarded ransome letter, for that same reason. It was a necessary blunder to throw the cops in any other dirrection than the family. Every other theory has 50 holes. the Burke did it theory has none. The mom said she wouldn't have put a big spoon in the bowl of pineapple. That's because Burke had gotten it himself, & she wasn't in the kitchen to correct him. He was up alone. Then Jonbene' got up for the last time, ate her last bite, turned to run, & woke up in heaven. Wonder which parent has had to agonize over leaving that flashlight on the counter? Or not being in the kitchen to prevent tragedy? Or destroying themselves mentally, (& for Patsy physically) to cover for a child that will never be right anyway? Very, very sad, but no mystery. The truth always makes perfect sense.

The most disturbing part of watching Burke at 9 and Burke at 29 was how elated he was at how upset his mother was in regard to JonBenet. Quantum Qubit, Davida is right. The "duping delight" is a micro expression. Meaning, the expression is there and gone so quickly, sometimes they can only be seen if the person is recorded, and then viewed in slow motion. It's not a smile that stays on the face for more than a split second or two. So, I agree that his smile was just from nervousness. When I was a kid I used to laugh sometimes during tense situations. Like one time, my lil sis started to choke on her food. My dad jumped up and grabbed my sister and tried to help her. I started laughing. My parents got soooo mad at me. But, I really wasn't laughing because I thought it was funny. I was just scared. I'm thankful I have more control over it now! But, I've never gone through the trauma of losing my lil sister in such a horrific way!

burke did it. according to the family portrait photographer, he had a chip on his shoulder regarding jon benet. jealousy. he also had a problem with defecating on jb's bedroom walls--yeah, he'd smear it all over her stuff. and here's the clincher--he had a history of swinging golf clubs at her head. it's all documented. the father changed his story regarding putting them to bed that night. first, he said that he read to the both of them before putting them to bed, meaning, that they were both awake, which would also explain the pineapple consumption. then, he changed his story to: jb was in a deep sleep in the car on the way home. he put her straight into bed, without her ever having woke up. that's the lie. both kids were both still awake when they got home. a tiff occurred. and burke hit her in the head with a flashlight. a 9-year-old kid can swing that like a baseball bat, or a golf club. after some expert proved that it was the flashlight, burke sues for 125 million. that would certainly deter anything. there's more that i've researched, but this is enough. it's a clincher. the kid did it. parents covered up. burke quote: at the funeral, "my dad kissed jb. that traumatized me." really? why would that traumatize you? he still loved her? even though you killed her? you're weird, dude. do the right thing, and turn yourself in. imho. i do think it's the truth.

Reasons this was an inside job: - No forced entry - nanny said no intruder would have been able to find the basement or even know that was the door to the basement by the way it looked. She maintains this is impossible. - 911 call is extremely telling: after thinking they hung up, you can clearly hear the mom's tone change immediately, and she says to someone: Called the police, now what, you hear burke say "what did you find?" and the father respond with "We're not talking to you", then the mother says "My God, what have you done." - Police comes and child is found in the basement by authorities. What parent wouldn't check the house top to bottom if their child is missing? - Ransom notes are an average of 70 words, this ransom note had 385 words, with a very specific asking amount which so happens to be the exact amount the dad had just received as their Christmas bonus. How would an intruder know this? - Handwriting on ransom note had purposely mispelled words and resembled the mom's handwriting. She could not be ruled out by experts as the author of the note. Also, the note was written on a pad the mom owns, and marks on the pad show evidence of multiple drafts of the note having been written. - They said when they arrived home that night Jonbenet was already asleep and never woke up again, however she had undigested pineapple in her system and there was a bowl with pineapple in the kitchen, both her and her brother ate it at the same time. Why lie about her being awake and eating a snack when they got home? Additional evidence that implicates brother: -Nanny mentioned described his agression towards her, he had smeared poop all over her bed and toys once - On another occasion he attacked her with a golf club and left a permanent scar on her face - Brother always appeared happy after her death in photos, interviews and even videos of the funeral procession. Anyone who has a sibling knows that is not normal behavior.

Every time the pineapple issue came up he acted very strange. Like when he was showed the photo of the bowl of pineapple when he was 9, he wouldn't say it was pineapple. If you carefully compare the ransom note with Patsy's copy of the note there are a lot of similarities in the writing style and some of the letters look like they were purposely disguised. I hope the truth comes out one day!

Clearly, you didn't pay attention to the documentary at all. A forensic scientist explained, by actual demonstration, that the DNA on the underwear could have clearly been caused by "touch" DNA during the manufacturing processes. They proved this by opening a new package of underwear, having the FBI investigator touch a pair, and picking up not only his DNA, but that of a female who never touched the undies during the test. The DNA on JonBenet's undies could have been picked up in any factory in China! There was also no mention of DNA under her fingernails, as her fingernails were not mentioned at all in the documentary.

Memé The only reason it was “hard to piece together” was because the Ramsey’s had their PR team and the DA (which was essentially their lawyer disguised as the DA) controlling the narrative and hoodwinking the public into believing it was a complicated case. There’s nothing complicated about it. The son (or a tiny chance one of the parents) killed JonBenet and then Patsy wrote a ridiculous 3 page ransom letter to try and point the finger elsewhere. All the “evidence” pointing elsewhere was the work of clever PR firm’s & LE who were in on the coverup.

I feel there is something to Burke's possible involvement with his sister's death. People may try to explain his constant smiling and even laughter during the Dr. Phil interview as a nervous reaction, but take a look at the old videos of the funeral, when everyone is exiting the church. Burke is smiling there also the entire length of the video. He doesn't look sad or upset. From my experience, children in such a situation either are sad and usually crying, or at least take on the emotions of the adults around them. Burke looks positively gleeful as he bounds down the steps of the church and walks up the street.

I think John moved her dead body and choked her to put marks on her to make it look like she was strangled to death instead of bludgeoned to death. John was a sailing hobbyist, so it was possible that he knew how to do sailor's knots. He probably made the garotte with the intricate knot in it. And the garotte was made from Patsy's paint brush. I mean, common! Here is an excerpt from a WestWord article interviewing John's sailing buddy, Fleet White: "White, who was John Ramsey's sailing buddy before a highly publicized falling out shortly after JonBenet's death, believes the full record of official actions taken by the grand jury, including possibly other charges considered or rejected, should be released. "We can only assume that there's other stuff in there that one would find in a criminal indictment," he says. "[Boulder District Attorney Stan] Garnett gave all this material to the court. Why would he give them anything that isn't relevant to an indictment?" The Whites' complaint, filed earlier this week, cites a strong precedent for the full release of information detailed in a grand jury indictment. In 2007, regarding a battle over access to the extensive indictment of Aaron Thompson in the death of his daughter Aarone, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that state law "requires the indictment to be released for public inspection in its entirety." Whether that precedent applies to an indictment that prosecutors declined to endorse is another issue. As they say in the string section, stay tuned." John and Fleet probably had a falling out because John asked Fleet to stay quiet about John's sailing and knot tying experience and Fleet refused. John was a part of the cover up.

Burke has always been socially awkward and Jon Benet was not and pushed to do just the opposite with the Pageants she was in. She probably got more attention than he did. At such a young age, this can be a big problem especially when the awkwardness is not regulated or given attention to. Jon Benet was DA hit in this family, she made her mother's dreams come true. No need to be a top PI or experienced Homicide Detective to figure out what happened. in addition: Female Detective that morning at Ramseys home was anticipating a call from the so called Kidnapper who stated in the note that a call would be made to Ramsey's home at a particular time. That particular gets close, arrives and passes. Not John nor Patsy mention anything about it being almost time for kidnapper to call. The point is “When is tomorrow?” When Patsy made the 911 call, it was in the early hours, so 10am would have been the same day. So Patsy and John could have thought the kidnappers meant the following day. Besides it was boxing day and the banks could have been shut. Just because there was dna, doesn't necessarily. mean it was the killers dna. It could have come from any number of places.

I think Burke did kill his sister but I don't think it was deliberate,he was angry with her and struck her on the head with the flashlight not realizing his fit of anger and power behind the fatal blow. His parents concocted a story to protect him .He was young and easily manipulated to lie and fear was put in him by his parents. His parents also panicked and people due weird things and their judgment when under extreme duress . He would not have been held accountable at the time for his actions but possibly his parents didn't know the laws. But he would have carried the stigma around him for the rest of his life,but now he carries the lie to protect his parents...the whole thing is unfair . His parents put this burden on him. Maybe he will come clean in the future but he still will walk free and he should be free because he still has to live with what he did ...his whole family was ruined. Very sad case of injustice anyway you look at it.

Burke hit JB on the head with the flashlight, so to get away from Burke, she ran down to the basement, to hide. Burke garroted her to make sure she's dead, she was not, because JB tried to pull the tight snooze off her neck with her hand, that’s why she has her own DNA under her nails and nail marks on her neck at the marks left by the snooze. Maybe Burke used the rails of the train set to electric shock her, to see if she's really dead? Then a sling was used on JB's both hands to pull her in the vine cellar, the killer could not lift her up, JB was too heavy for Burke? JB died before the vine cellar door, peed on the carpet a lot as she was laying there, dead people do that, releasing bodily fluids after death. The trails of urine show JB was dragged into the vine cellar. Pee stain on the carpet was covered with Patsy's painting set box. Yes, I think 9-year-old Burke can do all that!

Parents will do anything to find the murderer of their child - unless they know or believe the murderer is another one of their children. They've lost one child, they don't want to lose two. It's natural to want to protect your children. And at the time I wondered why no one was mentioning Burke as a possible suspect. At least I didn't hear anyone mention him.

So the way Burke acts, as a 9 year old and a 29 year old, doesn't live up to your expectations. Mr Ramsey was cordial to the detective, and she found him guilty of his daughter's murder in her head. Mrs. Ramsey doesn't act enough like a grieving mother. All subjective observations that mean nothing in a courtroom. If they had evidence there would have been prosecution, of someone. Nothing here proves anything beyond a reasonable doubt.

My child has been a victim of a crime, but thankfully she is alive. I can tell you from experience that people including the victim and the family are put through the ringer, evil suspicions are rampant, and just out right judgement and cruelty abound. We all react differently to stress. Some people have a nervous smile, some people are completely capable of holding themselves together, and some of us fall apart. Police are great at making assumptions of what they think the facts are especially when they don't know what the heck happened as in this case, and when they have made mistakes themselves. Then the "faithful" media shows the public clips and stuff that don't give a whole picture. Reporters and police are not always objectionable! They filter through their own bias and beliefs from life. I have experienced the cruelty of citizens reading the newspaper and thinking they know everything about a situation or a family. None of you know, but let me tell ya you will stand before the almighty for wrongly judging a person and putting them through further torture after they have already experienced the unthinkable! To keep myself from being judgemental against all you guys' yucky comments and suspicions all I can do is express that I hope none of you ever have to experience the horror of any type of crime against your child.

The burke snapping theory makes sense except 1) he had several psychologist interviews between the ages of 9-11 , regardless of coaching and amount of psychosis its really hard to believe that a therapist wouldn't be sophisticated enough to trip him up in a major way if he did it . 2) if burke did it and his parents knew why within a few hrs would they send him out the house to a friends house wouldn't they be afraid of what he might say to them given it was only hrs after this incident . I know they probably had to do something with him but I would have came up with every excuse in the world to not let him out my sight that day if he did it .

In my opinion the interviews Burke had were poor.. The truth is they didn't ask him anything that would trip him up, they did not interrogate him at all. For instance they ask him does he know what happened, He gives a description of how she was taken to the basement and hit over the head. that was it, they just accept his answer, there was no interrogation with his response.. They had the opportunity to question this further but they don't .. As Macgregor also mentioned. The secrets, there was no trying to get this out of him either, the therapist just laughed when he said he wouldn't tell.. Burke only had one interview with a therapist. She requested a second interview which was denied by the Ramseys. The other interview was with a detective who also failed to interrogate him. The interviews were done poorly. Burke gave a lot of suspicious answers and reactions to some of the questions which were left unchallenged. On the contrary the Ramseys thought they were getting Burke well away from detectives when they sent him off to the Whites. Just as Fleet white was leaving with Burke. A detective said we need to speak to him first. John quickly replied, he doesn't know anything he was asleep.

Some of what he said on Dr Phil interview was off too: when told that his father was heard on the 911 call saying “We’re not talking to you”, he said “I don’t remember” when he and his parents claimed he was in his room the whole time. Someone who wasn’t there would have said “I wasn’t there”. He’s not expressive for someone who decided to come on national TV and tell his side, seems more like attention seeking. I think everyone is struggling to figure out why he came on national TV of all he’s going to do is smile and be indifferent about the entire thing. After reading up on psychopaths, it’s clear that he has an indifference to his sisters death. He doesn’t feel anger, sadness or any emotion. In fact, he seems arrogant and “above” the whole situation and wants people to believe that he has moved past it and everyone else should do - he is being deceptive. Learning about how he was going to sue for $750 million tells me that he really only cares more about money than his little sister. I have yet to see any footage of him expressing remorse or even guilt (a normal person would think “I should have been nicer to her. I should have protected her. I wish I woke up and rang the police”. He didn’t express ANY of this behaviour. The one time he felt bad for leaving the front door unlocked, tells me this was spoonfed to him or it was rehersed. That wasn’t an interview with Dr Phil, it was another selfish attempt at getting people to leave him alone, attention, get money or all of the above.

Hahaha, so easy to brush it off as just public interest! You can stir the pot anyway YOU like, but there is some serious information here pointing to Burke and it's not even funny. The thing is, he's already paid the ultimate price so I don't care one way or the other. He had to live with this for 20+ something years. They had to go through a lot of trouble to cover things up and that would fuck with anyone. I'd rather just admit to the truth then keep this lie to myself. I don't know how someone could live with it to be honest.

The "break in" was badly staged, topped off with the ridiculous ransom note written on the mother's writing pad that appeared to be in her own slightly altered handwriting. The question then is who in the family did it. This also seems pretty obvious when you put the pieces together, but can't be proven.

how naive you both are. My daughter constructed a triple pulley system off our balcony when she was 6 and built her own go cart at age 9. No help from anyone. Even so, I don't believe anyone in the immediate family was responsible for this crime. There were one, possibly two, break and enters in the neighbourhood that involved assault of young girls in their beds in the previous few months.

I read where there had been a garrote as a part of the murder. Even as an adult I had to look that one up, but what kid as young as he was would know how to make a garrote? Special knots tied and etc. Maybe learned camping or as a scout. As a mother I sure would not have known how to make one.

He's not 10 anymore. He's almost 30. Should know it's totally inappropriate to giggle and smile about the brutal death of your sister. ESPECIALLY if they are unsure who did it or where they are. Too much weird sh*t here. A 9, almost 10 year old kid chooses to stay alone on an upper floor when he can pretty much figure out something serious is going on about his sister. *I* wouldn't want to be alone, for damn sure, even now. Two, the cop doesn't search the house? SERIOUSLY??? Hypothetically, she could have been still alive! They were in the house 6 HOURS before finding her? Come on, that's insane. THEN the father finds her, and they MOVE THE BODY, when she's clearly in rigor mortis. TWICE? Then the idiot cop lets half of Boulder wander all through the house... Why did she eat pineapple before she died? If she were scared, she wouldn't eat. WHY would a real child killer write such a ridiculous note, asking for way less than they could have=the almost exact amount of the father's bonus, yet? HTF would they know that? That neither spouse went to.comfort each other, and NEITHER went to collect their other child is bizarre. You're not in on it, you want them THERE. Also can't see putting young children on a floor by themselves. How can you HEAR them? The huge flashlight: rich people HIRE someone to fix stuff. They generally never own any tools, nor know how to fix anything. Meanwhile, a much smaller light works just as well. Oh, and the father breaks the window IN WINTER, and doesn't have it fixed?? Just doesn't jibe. Where did the pineapple come from, with Patsy's fingerprints on the bowl? No rinds anywhere? After swearing the kid didn't eat any more that night? You have kids, don't you CHECK ON THEM before doing anything else??? Laundry, getting dressed first? Not buying it. They have a dog, conveniently not there that day..? But she knew her killer. She ate friggin pineapple with him! You don't eat if strangers are kidnapping you. And Patsy lies lies a f*cking rug every other breath. Everything she says comes off as badly acted. Women that lose a child, ESPECIALLY one that was horribly murdered? It's this shadow you can ALWAYS see right on their face. Pasty doesn't have it, or didn't when she was alive. She knows something. Or did. If not for incompetent Boulder cops, they'd have found the guy right away. Whether in the family or not. A scent dog would have helped.

It was either Burke, or one or both of the parents. I think it was Burke. It would be almost impossible to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt at this point because the original investigation was so mismanaged. Did anyone notice that the ransom note said the "kidnapper" would call at 10 a.m., and that neither parent even noticed when 10 a.m. came and went? Any parent who really believed their kid had been taken and that the kidnapper would call at 10 a.m., would've been anxiously awaiting that call. Nobody went out to get the ransom money. These parents knew she was already dead.

These people are still going to try to pin this on people who have been eliminated by everyone who is credible. The boy was 8. How in the world would be have made a reasonably sophisticated strangulation device. And how could he have done the other things for that matter. The plain truth is that the case was bungled from the first moment by the police and they made their minds up that day that it was the family and ignored any evidence that didn't fit their theory and manipulated evidence to support that theory. Of course the family lawyered up or at least one of them would've gone to jail guilty or not. The sad fact is that had they been poor that would've been the outcome . Leave the poor boy alone his life has been traumatized enough.

I agree with the recent documentary. Burke accidentally killed his sister with a hit on the head & the parents covered up her death as they were afraid to lose their remaining child and/or felt guilty that they were partly responsible for their son's behavior as they had given more attention to JonBenet due to her pageants etc. Burke had struck his sister before with a golf club & had placed faeces in her bedroom & was known to have a temper.

Have you heard of Angelman's syndrome? It causes people to smile all the time, even at inappropriate times. Combine this with a possible Autism disorder and he's not going to act the way others would act. It'a amazing the people judge solely on how a person looks. It's obvious his behavior isn't normal, but it doesn't make him a killer.

***** In addition to Angelman syndrome causing people to smile, it can bring on a seizure disorder, which explains why his hand moves the way it does. There are a lot of different types of seizure disorders. I know because I have seizure disorder. Do you have a good proctologist near you that can help pull your head out of your ass?
@KaydeyRai
@KaydeyRai 8 жыл бұрын
Where are you getting this? A shaking hand does not mean he has Angelman syndrome - Angelman Syndrome is characterized by SEVERE physical and developmental disability, there's no way Burke has it it causes obvious and serious issues - not being able to walk normally, severe problems with talking, balance issues, epilepsy, severe delay in development etc it would be obvious if Burke had any of that, we have heard from many people close to this family and none have them have said anything that implies anything like that with him, he went to a normal school, was a Boy Scout, went to college, was able to speak and walk , had no obvious physical or mental disabilities, there's just no way
@JulieAnn02261990
@JulieAnn02261990 8 жыл бұрын
KaydeyRai No, the smiling is indicative of Angelman syndrome and it's not always severe, combine it with autism and it makes it worse. The hand movements are a sign of a seizure disorder, consult a doctor or a valid medical website - no all seizure disorders are from epilepsy, I know because I have one. MANY people are autistic, autism doesn't mean stupid.
